Christmas at Disneyland in 1966 ~ Photoniks ~ Episode 11
Dec 12, 2025
Join Mr. Daps and Clocky as they go back and look at Disneyland at Christmas time in 1966. They visit Main Street, Sleeping Beauty Castle, and Frontierland in this episode of Photoniks. The big question is: are they video cameras, spotlights, or what on Main Street? Are they related to Candlelight somehow? Let us know if you know!

Photoics. Welcome to Photoics. I'm Mr. Daps. And
0:37
I'm Clocky. And we're so excited that you're here for our very special um I
0:43
don't have a good name for it. It's our Christmas episode part one. Holiday spectacular. Christmas episode.
0:48
Yes, that's that's what we're going the the crazy Christmas holiday spectacular
0:53
2025. But this is the first of two. We are going to have two holiday episodes
0:59
this year and it's going to be a lot of fun. I don't know how know how it's going to be fun because I haven't seen the pictures yet, but um it's going to
1:05
be fun. Which means before we get into the fun, what should people do, Clocky? Well, definitely if you you aren't
1:12
subscribed to this channel, subscribe. If you're not if you're on Spotify or Apple Music, make sure to hit uh the
1:19
five star reviews. Those always help get our word out. We've had a lot of Actually, this is weird. We're seeing
1:24
each other not in person. This is the first episode in three episodes a while we haven't we haven't done at the park.
1:30
Um but we will do more of those. I think they were pretty fun. But uh you know if you like the at the park that's fun. If
1:36
you like the other stuff just share what we do. Um and that always helps us just gain more audience and allow us to share
1:42
these vintage photos with everyone because and I think everyone's going to enjoy this week's episode for sure.
1:49
I think so too. And uh we enjoy sharing it with you and it's a surprise for us half the time. Maybe not as much for you
1:55
cuz you picked the photos. But um it is a fun adventure as we go.
2:00
Okay. Because you don't know what I'm going to say. I don't Well, and also sometimes when I look through my photos, even even today I was like, "Oh, yeah. I
2:06
had too many photos." I start looking through I go, "Oh, there's a really good theme here." So, uh I hope everyone
2:12
enjoys Christmas 66. Christmas 66. Which is amazing. If we'd
2:18
have been smart, we would have gone ahead and like researched what was happening in the world in 1966. But uh
2:25
you know who does that? Next year. Yeah, maybe we'll come back. Christmas in ' 66 and 2026. That sounds
2:33
like a good episode title, right? Yeah, I'll have more photos by then. Absolutely. All right. Should we look at
2:38
some photos? Yeah, let's look at some photos. I am going to share.
2:47
There we go. Here is our first photo. the the photo
2:53
you would popping up the photo you would see walking into the park. It's a very common photo.
3:00
Yes, definitely taken from the train station. The train station. Yeah.
3:06
And you could get this photo today. It would look a little bit different, but you could take this picture today cuz
3:12
the the horserawn collie trolley stops there. The uh the Christmas tree is still there. The
3:18
the uh flag would still be at the top maybe. Correct. The only thing you would have more of is strollers and people.
3:25
There are one, two, three, four, five, six, seven.
3:30
So empty. Eight. Eight people. And I think two of them are cast members.
3:36
And look at all of the benches, right? There's more benches maybe. 1 2 3 4 5 6
3:44
7 eight. There's more benches than people. There's more benches than people, which is kind of amazing. There's less garbage cans than people
3:50
cuz I count one I don't. Is there one up in the corner? Yeah, three. I count three.
3:55
So, not a record breaker. I'm trying to figure out what this is. There's a cart over by what is the Main
4:03
Street Hotel and which was probably uh was that the music hall that was sold the music hall in ' 66.
4:10
But there's a weird wheel car that's probably janitorial or custodial. Maybe. I'm having a hard time seeing what it
4:16
is, but I believe you. Oh, we can zoom. There we go. Thank you. There you go. Oh, yeah.
4:23
It does look like the ones that used to follow parades back in the day where they had to follow the horse to clean up
4:29
after the horse. Do you remember those? Could be that that maybe not remember those, but aware of those.
4:34
Aware of those. Neither of us are that old, I guess. But, um, it is interesting how green
4:40
things are, too. Like the green is really popping at me with the even the benches are brighter green. Like they're
4:47
more evergreen now, I guess. And that's kind of interesting. And then how bright the green is in of Emporium on the roof.
4:53
Oh yeah. And less flowers. So we have less flowers in the in the green spaces
4:59
under the trees. It's mostly grass. The other thing I think that's worth pointing out though is look at the tree.
5:07
Like it's got is it is it flocking? Is that what they call it when they put the fake snow on? Mhm. Flock tree.
5:13
Yeah. It's a real tree at this point cuz it's 1966. Looks about the same size as the tree we
5:19
have now. Other than it is skinnier a little bit. Yeah. I'm trying to decide
5:26
if it's as tall. Like I I'm betting it is, but it it just having stood there a
5:31
few times. Um the other thing I'm curious about is looking at the Matterhorn.
5:36
Mhm. Do I see something on top of it? That is the star of the matter horn. One of my
5:42
And that happens to be one of your favorite things. Is that correct? it it at at Christmas time if we could have
5:47
one thing back. Actually, if we could have one thing back, it would be the people mover. If we could have two things back, it would be the people
5:53
mover and having the star on top of the matter horn. I just think it's a nice touch. It makes it makes a matter horn a
5:59
tree. Why not? Like, and it's it's one of those random things that you would never see anywhere else.
6:06
So, I think it's a fantastic thing. I am still geeking out about how empty Town
6:12
Square is, though. And looking at the light, you don't think it's that early or it doesn't look super early in the
6:18
day cuz no, I'm not seeing shadow. Like to me, this almost looks midday. Looking at the lack
6:24
of shadow, it's hard to say we're going to have more. This is all from one trip when uh
6:29
these are slides from 66 uh that were actually developed in December of 66. So, this would have been early December.
6:35
Uh but actually, what you were just at Disneyland this weekend, it wasn't that
6:41
crowded in town square. There was no room for anything in town
6:46
square this weekend other than the candlelight processional which filled everything. Yeah, it's
6:53
weird to think of that because there was a big sound booth there and chairs and all of that stuff and where we're
6:58
standing, we couldn't even stand this last weekend because there was a stage. Yeah.
7:03
Other fun thing to look at, and I saw this in other photos, and I saw this in other photos that we're not going to look at today are these right here. Mhm.
7:14
These I believe are cameras. Oh, are they?
7:20
So, the other photos I have, they are in similar locations and they're definitely not lights. They're definitely cameras
7:28
as if they were going film the parade or film at the
7:35
huh. I mean, oh, that's that's another this is this is an interesting one to do, especially as we're coming up to the
7:41
15th. This was December 66. Yeah. So, this is right before Walt died. Yeah.
7:48
That's That's a little bit eerie. And why did we pick 66? No.
7:53
And they're on the left, too, aren't they? Is that what I see? There's one over here as well. So, are you sure they're cameras or are
7:59
they lights? I'm I'm pretty sure they're cameras. Uh, we can we can do it. We've
8:04
already got a bonus photo for this episode, but we can add another bonus photo for context, but I believe they're cameras because there's another one
8:10
here. And if there was if there were gonna be lights, I think there would be more here at parade exit.
8:18
Well, and you would think there'd be more like horizontally. Like they go
8:23
wider, right? Like I don't know cuz they look like spot. Oh, wait.
8:29
You don't suppose they were getting ready for uh candlelight and those are spotlights? Could be. I don't know the dates of
8:37
candlelight in December. I mean, it could be before or after. Um, right.
8:42
But those could be spotlights possibly because that would actually make sense.
8:48
Although, the one that looks like it's above kind of where the uh music shop is now, that looks like it's aiming down towards
8:54
the street, doesn't it? Right. This is fascinating. So, if you know anything about this, we're looking at
9:01
you, Doug. Um, we would love to know what you think or know these either cameras or lights are.
9:11
Huh. Would there This is a good candle light question since it just happened.
9:16
Yeah. Would there have been a banner for candlelight? Cuz I don't see a banner. Um, if I feel like if there was, it
9:23
would be behind where we took this picture. Okay. cuz like you turn the only banners really are on like the
9:30
speakers and then also there's one up on the the train station itself kind of behind the choir.
9:36
I was just thinking about a a cross banner like it would say like coming soon or something like that over here.
9:41
They would have that. I don't I don't know about that. Yeah. Yeah, that's that's a good question too.
9:46
I also love the garland going from I do too. And I actually really love as
9:55
now that we're zoomed in a little bit further, the it looks like there's red ornaments on the tree.
10:00
Like that contrast is really pretty.
10:05
That's fun. I'm curious what the what the garland idea was there. That's
10:10
different. Well, and I also would be curious if it went across Main Street back then because, you know, that's always a big deal now.
10:16
Oh, I hope we have a Main Street photo. Me, too. All right. Here's
10:22
See what's next. Oh boy, there's a main street. Oh, there we go. So, here we have that
10:29
the the ca camera light thing. Yeah, I can't tell. So,
10:37
it looks to me in this shot more like a spotlight, right?
10:43
I love that tree. So, the other photo I have definitely is a camera, but that
10:48
you're right. That one, that one might be a spotlight, but that tree is amazing. Star at the top. Um, it also looks like it confirms there
10:54
was garland across Main Street back then. I think I see that on the left there with bells instead of wreaths.
11:01
I kind of like that for one, and two, I like how it it loops lower.
11:07
Like now it's not quite as big of a loop. And uh that's kind of fun as well.
11:12
It's also interesting how big the trees are in town square.
11:19
Like when you look at those, those aren't that different than what there's there today. This is 66. So this would
11:25
have been 10 years of growth. Mhm. Also still pretty empty. And then now
11:31
that we see the shadows, this is definitely morning. Yeah.
11:37
So do you think this picture was taken within minutes of the first show uh p picture?
11:42
Likely. Okay. As as we go to the next photo, there's there's a lot that hovers around here. I don't think they took that photo on
11:48
their way on their way out. And I would assume if you took it on your way out, there would be more people leaving.
11:55
Yeah. Um, could we zoom in on that person in the middle towards like in the middle of the street also?
12:01
It'd be the third per Yeah, that one. Yeah. I was more just looking. I'm like, we
12:07
got a buzz cut on the left. Looks like a buzz cut on the right. Interesting. Also, they have ropes around the tree,
12:15
right? So, you couldn't get too close to the tree? Probably because it was real. But yeah,
12:22
I also love Is there a guy in a jacket or something off by the magic shop? There is. There's a guy in the jacket by
12:28
the magic shop. I also like being able to see what is this. The tobaconist. Nice. Right there. I wish we could read.
12:36
Maybe you can. What's on the cinema? Edgar Kennedy.
12:42
Hm. Interesting. Let's see what else we Oh, the other
12:48
thing I noticed were these here. Maybe those are lights. Possibly. I don't
12:54
think they're snow machines. If only they knew about Snope back then,
13:00
right? I feel like Walt would have liked Snope.
13:07
There we have all the benches. But yeah, afternoon the tree. It's
13:13
interesting too that um the emporium roof does not look as green in this
13:19
shot. In this shot. Yeah. Huh. Okay. And then take the next Oh,
13:25
there you go. Over here. You can see the Hills Brothers Coffee.
13:31
Uh can you Are those chairs underneath? Those are chairs underneath because that would have been the the restaurant. Okay, there we go. Yeah.
13:39
I was trying to tell if they were over there or were they in the town square and it was a band concert that was
13:44
coming up or something. Oh, no. They're they're love. They're at a distance. Yeah. I do love once again more benches cuz I
13:53
feel like was it Project Stardust or Yeah, Project Stardust where they got rid of all the benches at Disneyland.
13:58
And I feel like that's something like it doesn't necessarily impact me when I go to Disneyland, but when I've taken my
14:05
parents to Disneyland, that's when I'm like, "Oh, we need more benches." Oh, yeah. Be great to have a sit down.
14:11
Well, and they're they're not spring chickens and and they just need breaks a
14:16
little bit more often than we do. You know, someday we'll get there. And um and the lack of benches was quite
14:23
noticeable the last couple times they've come, but All right. Well, that's cool. Next photo.
14:30
Let's get right up there. Yes.
14:35
So she holding Oh, that's the ticket book and a map. Okay.
14:42
Wearing some sunglasses dressed in all yellow. Very very 60s. That is so iconic.
14:53
Oh, you know what's interesting too is back then they didn't have which we already knew. There's no fence around
15:00
the tree either, right? So like it's under the tree now I think. right now, but there year round there's a fence
15:07
around that part of the Christmas tree point, I guess we call
15:13
it. Look at those those ornaments, right? Those are almost the size of her
15:19
head. It also feels almost like it should be
15:26
in in like the Grinch or something. Like the colors and the and the the curve on
15:31
it. I mean, this is this is likely a real tree. Yep. But the curve on on it.
15:37
Also, if you look closely, and I noticed this on one of the other photos, that line right there is the wire holding the
15:42
tree up. Oh, I remember when they used to do that. Yeah, I totally remember
15:48
that. This one was supposed to probably disappear, but I've seen other ones. There's other photos I've seen where they put garland on it. They don't hide
15:54
it. They're like, "Yep, there's a wire. It holds up the tree. Otherwise, it would fall." This is This is important. Yeah. This is
15:59
This is safety. Ocean before ocean. You're right. It's interesting too that
16:04
I think all of the ornaments are just the ball ornaments back then, whereas now you have different types of
16:13
ornaments. You have a couple different shapes. You you've got the the kind of the teardrop. Oh, okay. Here as well. The other thing
16:19
is fun is this ornament is sitting on the tree, not dangling from the tree. So, there's
16:25
or ornaments on top of the tree as well as they really tried to make it look like
16:31
it's snow, didn't they? Right. It really is pretty though. Like, it's
16:37
kind of a different Can you imagine that at night when when they do their little snow moment?
16:42
Like, that would be pretty epic, right? And then
16:47
Yeah. And then they do have the gifts underneath just like they do today, which is something that's continued on.
16:54
You just don't see a person in a mustard orange uh or mustard yellow uh dress in front of it anymore. We can make that
17:01
maybe on dapper day. Yeah. All right. What's next? All right. Let's follow her to the
17:08
castle. Oh, nice. Wow. Again, empty. And this is this is
17:15
morning. You can see her shadow. You can see his shadow. This is sometime in the morning. We've got ivy all over one side
17:21
of the castle. The side of the castle the Ivy likes to grow on the ivy on the other side. And then one of my favorites that I love pointing out
17:28
is the tree. Trees and the moat. That is so cool. If I could bring three
17:33
things back, it would be the people mover. That's number Well, and and the uh wreaths on the banners are fun, too.
17:39
Yeah. Little wreaths on the banners, the garland, the the what looks like real garland. I mean, this is pre We need to
17:46
put We need to put everything on the castle. This is like Oh, no. The castle gets some greenery. Well, isn't it
17:53
interesting too looking at the castle is in some ways it looks so much more authentic. Is that a good word? Um, like
18:01
you could imagine that being pllopped down in Germany or something, right? And on the flip side, I don't know if
18:07
it's the way the picture was taken or just the way the area around the castle
18:13
used to be, it looks so much closer to the castle from that spot than you'd find today.
18:18
Mhm. cuz when you're when you're in that spot today, it does feel like you're a little bit further like the castle's a
18:25
little bit further back. And I'm wondering if part of that is the color of the brick underneath or the whatever the stones are underneath. And then also
18:32
the um the bridge is smoother now. Like they don't have
18:38
the stones, I don't think. Like they've made them look more
18:43
they're different now. They don't look as big or something. Right. But it's interesting because it does
18:49
feel like the castle is closer right up to her to me as I'm looking at this
18:54
picture. And I love that guy's suit. Well, it looks like he has a vest on too, right? This is a cast member. If if
19:02
I if I'm reading this Oh, you're right. That's the old,
19:07
you know. Um the wide ones. Yeah, the wide Yeah, the wide one. And then Oh, so he's wearing
19:14
like the the Eisenhower jacket. Yeah. I don't know if that's officially the name, but like it's the Ike jacket from
19:21
World War II where they're kind of like a they're almost like a um like a jean
19:26
jacket, but not a jean jacket. Like they're they're they're a heartier. Yeah. Work wear. That's awesome. It
19:34
looks like there might be somebody right in the middle of the Yeah. Right there. Yeah.
19:40
Entrance to the castle. The carousel. It's interesting how much brighter her dress is in this photo too,
19:47
right? Like you can really tell the difference of where the sun is
19:52
cuz this I feel like color-wise. This is closer to the first picture, right? Like the colors are popping more. The
19:59
Yeah. And you can see the tree on the left side too. Yeah. The tree on the left over here. Also, uh the skyway
20:06
over here on the far right. So is that number four? If you could bring a fourth thing. Yeah, I I like the skyway. I I loved the
20:13
skyway as a kid. There's something I would bring back before that, but I don't know what it would be.
20:19
Okay, I'll go or the sea pirate ship or
20:24
or because we talked about on the last episode the Fort Wilderness and having
20:31
food on the Yeah, I would put like a complete Yeah. with a roof. Oh,
20:37
yeah. I agree with that. So, the bonus photo for this, since there was another photo of the castle,
20:44
just kind of show you where the trees were. Here is a second photo that shows you where the trees are. Well, that's fun.
20:50
With the castle, castle's obscured because of the because of the green trees, but the trees in the moat. You
20:56
can see both of them. You can see someone now in red over in the corner. And then this weird fencing over here
21:04
that I assume was either a temporary fence for something. That looks
21:10
that looks like the walkway back around the side of the castle. Was that not there? No, that would that would be there cuz
21:16
you would still have access to the wishing well and everything and the So, you suppose back then they're like,
21:22
"Oh, this makes it more themed if it's red
21:28
maybe." Or is it is it temporary or is it because it looks iron from my right
21:35
like that looks pretty permanent to me but I could be wrong.
21:40
Could be the I can't zoom as well as you can. The thing Yeah. The thing I'm seeing on
21:47
it is it doesn't look as smooth. Okay. I can't see that. I just see the up and downs basically.
21:52
Yeah. But we do see now we see the skyway buckets or the gond.
21:58
The other thing I would add to that is there's not a lot of fences back then. Like it was pretty much just a curb.
22:04
So I bet you're right because um you think there's not a fence around
22:10
even the tree. It's just a rope, right?
22:16
It's fun seeing the castle like this because it's more faded. It almost has a more realistic feel to it, doesn't it?
22:23
Right. doesn't look as freshly made. Yeah. Like it's lived there for a while.
22:29
It's been that, you know, like everything else kind of grew up around this thing that's been there for a long
22:35
time. We have the the Siri wagon still going
22:42
and then the chicken pirate ship. It is interesting though for how different things are in almost what 60
22:49
years. Um, it is very similar to what we see today from this viewpoint, right?
22:57
Except for this. Hang on. This
23:02
that's part of the C. That's got to be part of the castle. I think that's a turret in the back. Yeah. And then so this would be further
23:07
back cuz that's the uh King Arthur's carousel tent pole. Yeah. So like the stuff behind it
23:13
different, but like the castle itself and the the courtyard and the walkways around and even the trees are similar
23:19
size now to what they were, which they haven't always been cuz you
23:24
think of other times when they've gotten really big, but um that's kind of cool. That one's a fun one. All right, we're
23:31
we're going to see some Christmas in this next one, but from a distance. So the next one's a real picture, not a
23:37
bonus, right? This is a real Yeah, this this is a real photo. And this looks like it is this from uh the Mark Twain.
23:43
This is from the Mark Twain. And we see the Star of the Matterhorn. And then I love this.
23:49
We see I would say this the the difference now is we see a completely non-decorated for Christmas
23:56
Frontier Land. Well, and look at how different Frontier Land looks.
24:03
Like it's very it's like I knew immediately where we were standing even
24:08
like I can picture where we're standing on the Mark Twain because this is a spot we've stood countless times, right?
24:14
But like you got the little gazebo in the corner, how open that mill area is where you'd go into Rancho and there's a
24:21
bunch of chairs now and tables. The little park is is
24:30
benches. Yeah, there's not a little stage there yet. There's still there there's still
24:36
benches. Yeah. Huh. More benches.
24:41
And then Yeah, there's no there's no big thunder. Yeah. Yeah. There's no there's no peaks over
24:47
here. It's really pretty though.
24:53
This is not a view you see super often often uh pre
24:59
Big Thunder. I feel like Yes. And I would also say this, it even now
25:05
because it is outdoor vending, outdoor vending, a stage area that's kind of
25:11
enclosed, there's nothing to take a photo of over here other than the mass the castle and the matter horn.
25:17
Yeah, cuz that is a fun shot to take is when you're shooting through and you get the castle and the matter horn in the background.
25:23
It also feels more green on the right and I'm trying to decide what that is behind the gazebo.
25:28
Yeah, that dark space. What is that? Is that just trees? Just trees and tables.
25:34
The future home of the Halloween tree kind of. That would But that would be even further further to the right.
25:39
Yeah, that'd be further. They do have poinsettas around that little gazebo. Oh, there you go. There's some There is some Christmas. And I'm also I feel like
25:47
this is a good picture to look for. We have like three people in it. But uh do we see garbage cans?
25:55
One. Okay, there's one. It's hard. It is brown. So, that's consistent with
26:00
today. Is that the only one we see? Huh?
26:07
I feel like there has to be one up in the back somewhere. But, Right. Well, also you have this is this
26:14
is the restaurant at this point. So, they'd be closer to they'd be closer in this, you know, tree bushed area.
26:22
It's interesting because in some ways this looks more frontier. In other ways it looks less than today cuz this feels
26:28
more like this feels like it could be Zoro or something you know you can imagine when
26:35
that would happen whereas today's Frontier Land feels more generic like
26:40
every western right
26:46
and I feel like today like they've they've gotten better with cement or or whatever it is they use for the ground
26:52
because today's feels more uh like It could be dirt that was just packed down or what? Like
26:58
Right. It looks a little bit better that regret. But I love seeing the old uh the old town on the left more.
27:06
Old Rainbow Ridge. Mhm.
27:11
That looks really cool.
27:17
Fun. Fun times. All right. What is next? Well, next that that was five. Oh, no.
27:25
Now I have to choose. Oh, it's a hard one, too. This one. It is a hard one.
27:30
Yeah. For being all for one year, all from one family's vacation.
27:37
Can I just say that has to have been one of the best days at Disneyland ever. When you look at how few people are in
27:42
the park, you could I guarantee you that she used every ticket in that ticket book because you could.
27:49
Yeah. Like that's amazing. And I can maybe think of one or two
27:55
times when the park was even remotely close to that empty. And usually it was late at night and during a heavy
28:01
rainstorm. All right, you get to pick first. Which
28:07
one is your favorite this week? Ooh, man.
28:17
I'm going to go with this first photo. Nothing like seeing an empty
28:22
main street. And then also just the the detail of being able to see the Matter Horn Castle or the Matter Horn Star.
28:31
But the Matter Horn Star is in that last Frontier Land picture. It is in the last one, but also this one has more garbage cans. So
28:37
true. We had big garbage cans and possibly a horse cleanup cart.
28:43
Is that what we used to call a pooper scooper? Pooper scooper. Yeah, I think that's what we used to call them. Um, I'm I'm gonna go with
28:49
this picture also. I I think there's something so magical about that first
28:54
moment you walk into Main Street, you see the tree and if the horse and the trolley are there extra m like it brings
29:01
everything to life and the fact that there's just not a lot of people there makes it even better. And I would put as
29:07
a very close second that Frontier Land picture because that was that was very good. Also,
29:19
that one like that that one is such a unique perspective of Frontier Land back
29:24
in the day because usually you see I feel like the common picture is from the other direction,
29:30
right? Like you would see, you know, I'm thinking of the Zoro one when they brought him in or you'd see a lot of the
29:37
golden horseshoe like or you'd see the entrance of right
29:42
or it'd be from the part of Rivers America where you see the Mark Twain coming towards you of that frontier land
29:48
which obscures all this back stuff. So this is a really nice photo of Rainbow Ridge and the mine train and
29:53
kind of seeing where their that queue was. Yeah. and and it it just gives a nice perspective of Frontier Land that you
30:00
don't often get to see. I love it.
30:05
I'm still sticking with the first picture, but if the first picture weren't there, this would be a home run.
30:10
This is the problem when we have two really good pictures in in one episode. That's a Christmas gift in itself,
30:16
right? That is Oh, man. All of these photos are great. And there's other I was going to say and there's other episodes where I'd
30:23
have been like, "Oh, the lady in mustard." Like I mean, if something was happening to
30:29
her, she might have ended up being my choice cuz I do love a good story happening in a photo, which oddly
30:35
enough, both photos that I really like, there really isn't a story happening. It's kind of just a moment in time.
30:41
Well, let's unless that security come away. I was like, this one, this one could be a story, you know. was interesting that
30:47
that the camera focused on him and not her. That she's out of focus in this photo.
30:53
Probably because they focused on the uh the castle. The castle. Yeah.
30:59
I mean, that would have been so hard to do back then. Like you think of photography how much
31:04
it's different then versus today. And the fact that you had you had you may take two photos here. May
31:13
may probably one. Probably one. I can remember even as a kid where you'd stand and you'd wait for grandpa or dad to
31:20
take the one photo and you had to stay completely still and you couldn't goof off and whatever because that would ruin
31:26
the photo and that was that was a no no which is weird because you think of
31:31
that's something that will probably never be an issue again. Yeah. Well, and and also if you notice, you would now
31:38
you're able to see and go, "Oh, that photo was bad. Let's take another one." Or, "Don't worry, I just kept my
31:44
finger on the button and I have 20." Yeah. Exactly. In one second. In one second.
31:50
You were blinking. Not Not during the 300 photos I just took.
31:55
Exactly. Exactly. All right. Well, we have made it through another Photo
32:02
Nix episode. This is our first of two holiday episodes. If all goes according
32:08
to plan and we can make all of our schedules work, we're going to have a very special guest on the next episode
32:13
of Photo Next that you will not want to miss. Um, is that how much should I say,
32:19
Clocky? I don't know how much I should say. I would say this. I I I would say this. If he doesn't come, he's missing out cuz
32:25
I've got some great photos of And either way, we know what this episode's going to be, right? It's going to be Christmas
32:33
on the East Coast. Yes. In Walt Disney World. And not just any Christmas. A very special Christmas.
32:40
One that we I have seen one picture I think from what this episode will be. And Clocky and I probably spent at least
32:47
a half an hour geeking out over this picture. Um so amazing. It It's We might even do research ahead
32:54
of this one. I don't know. We probably won't, but probably not. But we Well, think about
33:01
it. A person can dream. Yes, exactly. Um
33:06
well, we're we already did the amount of research we need to do for this episode, I feel like. Um which was when we were
33:12

33:57

34:02
