Welcome to Geeks Corner. I'm Mr. Daps. I'm Katie. and we're so excited that you're here on the first Tuesday after
0:29
Disneyland's 70th birthday. Don't you typically say the last Tuesday? Yeah, but I decided to switch it up.
0:35
Oo, he's edgy. You know, switching things around, playing with it, whatever. Uh, it has
0:41
been a very busy week because of Disneyland's 70th birthday and a bunch of other things are going on. But before we get into anything, what should people
0:47
do, Katie? You should subscribe to this YouTube channel. I would assume you're watching it here on YouTube, but if you're not,
0:53
weird. Uh, subscribe to us on YouTube at Dapsmagic. We are almost 200,000 and that would be super cool to do before
1:00
the end of the year. Uh, you should go to our Patreon, patreon.com/dapsmagic.
1:06
Uh, there's a pre-show of the show. Super fun. Um, that you should share
1:11
this video. Um, share it with someone you love. If you hate it, share it with someone you can't stand. I don't know.
1:18
Maybe it's for them. And comment. And yes, please say hi to Tiana. She's so
1:24
cute. And at the end of the show, we will respond to any questions you put in the comments. That makes sense, I guess. But
1:31
uh during our special comments section, it's a lot of fun. So respond. If you have comments for
1:36
Tiana, let me know. She might grumble into the microphone at you. But now it's also time to let us know
1:41
which Muppet you think is going to be highlighted this week as we talk about Thanks, Daddy. Thank you, Mr. Dad.
1:48
Thanks, man. Thank you, Mr. Dad. Thanks, man. That's still one of the coolest things
1:54
ever. Um, that is right. We we had uh an interesting choice I felt like this week
2:00
for Muppets. Um, kind not completely unknown,
2:07
but but maybe not maybe a little more obscure. Where do we think it's going this week?
2:12
Um, typically when they do an obscure Muppet, they follow it up with like a more well-known. That's what we thought last week, didn't
2:24
anyway? Keep going. Who was the week before? No, I don't remember. Anyh who, um I am going to
2:30
say, you know what, yolo, I'm going to go back to saying Gloria Stefon.
2:36
Okay, Gloria Stefan deserves a week. Okay. And I see Uncle Deadly in here. I
2:41
see uh Statatler and Waldorf. Uh, and yes, while she is our favorite
2:47
muppet, Tiana does not officially count as she's not a real muppet. She just wishes she was a muppet. Um,
2:53
well, she doesn't wish she was a muppet. Borugard. Yeah,
2:59
Borugard is not entry- level Muppet, but he's also not like deep cut Muppet.
3:04
Yeah, he's in the middle. I think that's fair. Yeah. Um, I'm gonna keep hoping for Bobo, but the
3:11
problem is Bobo's kind of mid-level, too. No. Really? Bobo was in Muppets ABC.
3:17
Okay. For all 10 people that watch that.
3:24
Anyway, keep going. Whoa. I liked it. Like especially towards the end of the season. I wish it gotten a
3:29
second season because I think it it really got its stride in the end of the first season. Once they switched show uh runners, it
3:35
worked. And um uh anyway, I think if you were in Muppets ABC, you are not a midlevel
3:41
Muppet. Yeah. Honestly, Darren Chris should be Muppet of the Week because Darren Chris
3:47
is in Muppets on a Mansion and Darren Chris just won a Tony. There you go.
3:53
So, say no more. Not like just won a Tony, but like Yeah. recently. Yeah.
3:59
Okay. Within the last calendar year. Therefore, imagine if like they allowed
4:04
guest stars to be like Muffet of the week. like um maybe that's what you do after the 70
4:11
like once who was the like you follow it up and then the the gimmick can keep going. There's like one Muppet Show guest that
4:17
I'm thinking of that I just Steve Martin. No. Oh girl Steve Martin,
4:23
but does he have a Dapsy? Uh I feel like I've made Darren Chris get a Dapsy. I
4:29
could be wrong. I can't remember. I think we gave him Adapsy the year that I found out he's in Star Tour somewhere,
4:36
but I could be wrong. It wasn't Muppets uh Haunted Mansion. It also may have been Muppets Haunted Mansion. Like I would have gone with Muppets
4:42
Haunted Mansion if I had to make a guess, but I don't know. All right. Well, there's our guesses. We'll see if
4:47
any of them are even remotely close. They probably won't be. And uh should there be a Dapsy Muppet Hall of
4:53
Fame? Yes. I kind of like that idea. Let's remember that. Let's Let's get back to that in the comments.
4:59
That is that's a very good idea. Okay, we'll come back to that. Um all right. All right. Well, it's been a very busy
5:04
week and one of the things that came up this week is a new section of DAP's magic, which doesn't happen very often
5:09
at all. And it came from a couple conversations I've had through the week. And uh one of them came from a
5:18
observation that nobody is really um highlighting I guess you could say the
5:25
Disney adjacent organizations that promote protect and
5:31
preserve the Disney legacy. So whether it's the Walt Disney Family Museum, Disney birthplace in Chicago or
5:40
that scared me or scared me too, man. uh or uh Marceline Hometown Museum,
5:47
things like that. Uh the Carolwood barn up in in Griffith Park, things like that. Uh and then also like Ryman Arts
5:54
and Chalk, because these are all things that one way or another are connected to
5:59
the Disney legacy, but they're not the Walt Disney Company and and they all do good things. That
6:05
was the other part I wanted to have included in this. So, with the help of our I think it was in Patreon, right?
6:11
Yeah. uh with the help of our Patreon, we came up with a name a name thanks I think Clocky came up with it called um
6:18
other happy places and if you go to dapsmagic.com and you go down the homepage just a little bit you will see
6:24
there's an other happy places section with a link to more other happy places news and uh you can go check out
6:32
everything that's happening as much as we can keep up with at these other happy places that uh are the Walt Disney
6:38
Company adjacent and hopefully this is something that will help these because a lot of them are nonprofits. In fact, I
6:44
think all of them are and um and hopefully it will also help Disney fans to connect with these parts of the
6:50
legacy because when you think about it, um a lot of these are connected to different points in his life, whether
6:55
it's where he was born, where he grew up, uh where he came to, you know, the
7:01
the Carolwood Barn kind of is you think of his I don't know his Hollywood years, you
7:07
could almost say. And um and then the family museum obviously up in uh San
7:12
Francisco is all of his life that that really encompass encompasses all of them. But the more we can get this out
7:19
there and share it with people hopefully the more of an impact it can have that's a positive impact on the Disney legacy,
7:24
the Disney community and all of that fun stuff. Is there anything else you want to say about it? No, I think it's great. Okay. Yeah, that's good. Okay. Uh let's
7:32
talk about something else then. Well, Disney World, first time in nine years, I think, has a
7:38
nighttime parade. Wow. And this is the Disney Starlight Parade. And um what do you think of this parade?
7:45
First of all, I think that the worst thing they could have done was share the name of the Taylor Swift song. I'm so sorry. Like I listen, I've said this
7:53
before. I've said it a million times. You say Starlight, I'm going to think
7:58
Starlight. Maybe Taylor Swift. like we're made of Starlight.
8:04
Do you think Do you think they did that intentionally? No. They're like, "Oh, we can get the SEO of Starlight so Taylor
8:09
Swift fans will come see one of Taylor Swift's uh lesser known
8:15
songs." Okay. Okay. Even though one time we heard it in Miami, not like when her playing it, we just heard it in like a a random like
8:21
Chili'sesque restaurant. There you go. Um but I think this looks great. I think
8:27
the music's fun. Do I think it's Paint the Night? No.
8:33
No, I do not. I actually wonder, like I've been thinking about this too, is do you think it's
8:40
like I wouldn't compare it to Paint the Night cuz it's a completely different vibe. It's much more of a classic parade
8:46
than like that would be comparing um Festival of Fantasy to Magic Happens.
8:52
Like they're completely different types of parades. Yeah. But they're both the thing that
8:57
the through line for these parades that those parades do not have is that these
9:04
are both um successors to Main Street Electrical Parade.
9:11
Fair. And they just go in two different directions. But I think they're Yeah, that's where I would say is don't compare it to Paint
9:16
the Night. I would compare it to Dream Lights. They're sisters, not twins. They're sisters, not twins.
9:21
I would almost say like cousins. Yeah. I was like I would actually say it's a closer comparison to Dreamlights.
9:27
They're Tiana and Indiana cousins.
9:33
That was Sorry. Dream Lights. Yeah, I agree. Um I think Dream Lights is bigger and grander and I think there's more of a
9:40
throughine cuz the thing I noticed is I loved the opening like cuz it does directly connect to Main Street
9:46
Electrical Parade which is kind of what they're doing with all these these night pink does too though. Yeah, that's why I'm saying they're
9:51
doing it for lies. Uh, and then it goes into the new theme and it's this gorgeous orchestral score
9:57
at the beginning. And then I felt like the one thing I would have switched with the music in particular is I would have
10:03
kept that a little bit more prominent as it intertwined with the specific
10:09
themes for each float just because I felt like the the main theme kind of got lost in the music got a little bit
10:16
like it didn't seem as as powerful as it could have been during the parade and and that's just me nitpicking it a little
10:23
bit. Um I thought the floats are gorgeous. Like I think Disney's once again showing how it knows how to make
10:29
nighttime floats. Um yeah, I thought the the characters on the floats are very easy to see, which is a
10:36
huge win. And they don't have antenna. Yeah. No, they did a really nice job lighting them in the dark. Um I would
10:43
like to have seen maybe more on the ground in between the floats. A little bit more action happening there.
10:48
Um I also personally almost wanted more length.
10:54
It's short like it's it's about 12 to 14 minutes long and um which might be
11:00
perfect too because you know you're doing a parade fireworks and a parade all in the space of true
11:05
you know 9 10 and then 11 o'clock and um
11:10
and I actually agree I think Spectro Magic was a more magical parade. um it leaned into the classic that much more.
11:18
And this this one seemed like it was kind of a um we're leaning into the classic, but
11:24
we also still want to dab our our feet in the in the waters of um a paint the
11:29
night type thing. But it looks like it's going to be great for to watch. And I'm excited to see it. And I do like the idea that that it's,
11:36
you know, if it's 12 or 14 minutes, then you're not killing yourself off to see fireworks.
11:42
or if it if you're catching the last one of the night, you're not there till forever. I just really really really love Castle
11:52
Parks having a nighttime parade. Like I think that almost needs to be a rule. I think and the bigger part of that rule
12:00
is that if you have a nighttime parade, you should have a daytime parade. I I completely agree with that and I see
12:05
Chris put that in the comments and I I do think you need to have that balance
12:11
especially when you think of families with young kids. Some of them just aren't going to make
12:17
it to the nighttime parade. No. And they'll enjoy the day like they'll love the parades but you know it just may not make it. And um and unless
12:24
you're local that can be a challenge. I can remember the first time we went to Disneyland when I was a kid. My brother
12:30
entirely missed the Main Street Electrical Parade except for the part where we woke up, saw um Elliot from
12:37
Pete's Dragon, and then fell back asleep. And I think he might have been like I vaguely remember him being scared
12:43
of the dragon. Um but and see my version of that is there was a nighttime parade that was
12:48
running when I was like twoish, threeish. It was not EP cuz EP closed when I was a month old. Um,
12:56
but I made myself fall asleep because I was scared of characters.
13:01
There you go. Um, true story. Anyway, it looks like it's a fun parade. It'll be fun to see.
13:06
I would love to see a nighttime parade at Disneyland Paris now that that came up. Yeah, because I think that would be awesome. I
13:12
mean, same for Hong Kong, but it had Paint the Night in Shanghai needs it also. Um,
13:20
we also got concept art today for a new section of um Disney's
13:28
Disney. Yeah, Disney's Hollywood Studios. I second guess myself cuz that's fair. Apostrophes. Yes,
13:33
it gets iffy. It does. Um, it's called The Magic of Disney Animation and uh this is what it
13:39
looks like. The whole area, this is taking over Launch Bay and and it's kind of a hodgepodge area right now. like
13:46
when you go back there, it's a catch-all. Yeah, it it doesn't have a lot of purpose or direction. And I feel like
13:51
this really does bring in direction and uh it brings in the animation or the sorcerer Mickey hat. I was thinking the
13:58
animation building hat also same thing. Um and there's going to be experiences that are very um it kind of reminds me
14:05
of what we do with our animation building like very much so. Like I'm like, "Oh, so you you're kind of taking our
14:11
Hollywood Boulevard and putting it over there a little bit." Um, what do you think of this concept, this idea?
14:19
The sorcerer hat doesn't die, it just reinvents itself. I love that. Um, I I have seen a lot of people very
14:27
nostalgic for when the sorcerer hat existed at at Hollywood Studios. And
14:34
while it was magical, yes, it also took up the entire entry view of Hollywood
14:40
Studios. So that was all you saw. So I think this is a great way to have it. I think that the thing that Hollywood
14:46
Studios does really well is like the Pixar area feels like Pixar and Emeryville. This to me feels like
14:54
Studios. Um especially because there's this detail. If you want to go back to the
14:59
previous concept art that you just had up right there at the front. Yep. That that like
15:05
that looks like the drive-in entrance. The garden area is essentially the security gates for when you get to the
15:12
studios at Burink. Well, and honestly, that's a much better way to draw you back into because instead of seeing the big U marquee sign
15:20
that's there currently that really you don't see past it super well, this instead beckons you in. you're
15:27
like, "Oh, look, Sorcerer Mickey hat. Let's go see what's there." Um, I think it's a good
15:32
it's a good way to uh draw people in. And and it also continues the legacy,
15:38
which seems to be something they're really leaning into right now, too, is they're continuing the legacy of
15:44
moving towards the future while not forgetting the past. Yeah. And and so we're getting a lot of new
15:49
things in the parks here and over in Florida. And while we're getting, you
15:54
know, an ex uh expansion of Avengers Campus or we're getting
16:00
um you know, a Coco attraction, things like that, we're also recognizing that
16:05
Disneyland is is really the foundation of that is Walt Disney. And so they've created a foundational experience. You
16:12
can come in and see Walt Disney and, you know, hear him speak in his own words some thoughts. And um and I think it's
16:19
nice that they're they're holding on to that foundation while really, you know, what is the word they use? Turbocharging
16:26
uh into the future. Yes, I think it's something like that. Yes, they're turbocharging the the segment.
16:32
Yes. But uh but I think this is a great way to really connect to that past and and
16:39
really like learn how to draw, go see car like it makes sense to have Disney characters there like
16:44
very much so. Um, I think it's brilliant idea. Um, I'm super stoked on this. I am a very
16:53
big fan of getting rid of Launch Bay anywhere. Um, okay.
16:58
So, sorry. I'm not sorry, Disneyland. Actually, I'm not sorry. I'm going to stick by that actually.
17:04
Um, and yes, I've had great memories at Launch Bay in Hollywood Studios. I have some really fun pictures of some
17:11
Stormtroopers interrogating me. Um, we have Galaxy's Edge now. Like, you don't need
17:17
And and as we get further and further away from being time locked and landlocked with Galaxy's Edge, there's
17:23
less and less of a reason to have I also think that like there's going to be a is there a Disney Junior area that
17:30
I saw or is that going there's something going on for Yeah. So, we're also not getting rid of that
17:35
area which was kind of like the It's modifying it. Yeah. like the two to six or two to
17:42
seven age demo that's not going away which is also exciting. Launch Bay is no
17:49
longer needed. Well, and and the whole thing like they I think it said in the Disney parks blog
17:54
or the press release, I don't remember which one, but they said the focus really is for families and young families. Like they're they're really
18:00
recognizing Hollywood Studios can always use more for the young ones.
18:06
Always. Um, like Toy Story Land is great, but they're not necessarily going to go
18:12
yet on Slinky, Tower of Terror, or Rock and Roller Coaster featuring the
18:18
Muppets. Yes. Like there's they need to balance or even the new Monsters Inc. coaster. Like, they need to balance off or
18:24
balance out these these adult thrill attractions, family thrill attractions, whatever you want to call them, with
18:29
things that the younger parts of the family can can enjoy as well. And altogether, hopefully. I also think um both times
18:38
that Launch Bay has existed, it has been kind of sad to the people that knew what
18:43
it once was. So like at um Hollywood Studios that was previously part of the animation tour.
18:50
Yes. Mhm. Okay. I think so. I was like, am I wrong? I only did it once. Mikey, am I am I wrong? Um so then
18:57
having launch bay there and for us we had um house of the f well first first America sing well first
19:07
carousel then America sings then inventions there was a lot of things that were
19:14
better yeah and I love inventions like a lot um
19:20
in the uh dream h or the smart house or dreamhouse or whatever it was called Um,
19:26
it was basically Monsanto House of the Future, but it like wasn't inventions, but in a circle. But it when that building used to spin,
19:33
man, and you had um the Martin Short
19:40
uh animat was that Martin Short animatronic? No. Tom Marorrow. No, it was Nathan Lane. Nathan Lane. That's who it was. Um I was
19:48
like somebody um I got nostalgic when I saw the
19:53
innovations um like wraparound mural at Opera House.
19:59
I was like wow take me back to God's country. Like
20:05
good stuff, man. Good stuff. Everyone correct even inventions at the end.
20:12
Yep. Um anyway, it'll be fun to see this come together and it's quick. Like they're saying 2026, so
20:18
crazy. I'm excited. It could be Who knows? It'll be soon. It'll be fun. Um we also learned coming back to our
20:26
coast the they teased, but we know who they are. Like if you look at the tease, you know who they are. Two villains for
20:33
OogieOogie. Um not two brothers, two villains. Uh they are not brothers. They are not brothers.
20:39
But from the teases, who are they? Maleficent and Syndrome.
20:44
And Syndrome. Um, which we presume will be back in Pixar Pier. What do you What do you think of these?
20:52
I'm scared of Syndrome. Um,
20:57
if Also, I presume I mean, I could be wrong, but we don't know if this is
21:04
face. I would assume I would too, but I don't know. Like it could be very interesting,
21:09
which I don't think anybody's ever seen that before. No. So
21:15
that's they're usually face. Yeah. Um because they interact. And I think the only time Syndrome's
21:21
been a character period was in a Disney Ice show. So this would be like to me this is the
21:29
big thing. And my wonder, the long line with Maleficent
21:36
is how is she going to come back in a way that is different from what we've
21:41
previously seen? Because we've seen it with like Hades. Like Hades. So here's my theory.
21:48
Okay. Hu the theory. Live action. Oh, scary cheekbones.
22:00
Okay, you don't have to go, I guess. I don't know. Um, I'm sorry. I just think
22:05
I could be wrong. Like, it could it could be Maleficent that was here before, but uh and they didn't say new
22:12
characters necessarily. They just said two villains that are coming. So, it there's a very good chance that
22:18
it could be who knows. Uh, excuse me. But, um, no, it'll be interesting. I
22:25
think I think Ernestto Cruz is amazing. Ernest Delo Cruz is one of the best
22:30
parts, especially when he starts um in in a couple years past we've seen
22:38
some guys try to like out machismo Ernesto and he calls them out and it's
22:44
fun. It is very good. Yeah, it's it's one of the best. Um if there was a dragon I'm so sorry. If
22:50
there was a dragon just walking around, I'd be terrified. There you go. I'd say get back where you came from.
22:56
There you go. or so help me. All right. This week, moving away from Disney just for a minute, Ted Lasso.
23:03
They released a video and a photo that Ted Lasso has once again begun filming.
23:10
Or season 4, the season we're never supposed to get, but now we are. And
23:15
they're in Kansas City. That's all we know. Well, actually, we know a little bit more, but um what do you think?
23:20
Season 4. I I feel so mixed about this. When season
23:28
3 ended, I was like, "What a cute ending." Um, I also literally deleted all social
23:34
media off my phone so I could watch the finale. And then I sat and I open mouth sobbed
23:40
that the show was over. So, I went through like the grief process. I was like, "So did the cast."
23:46
Is that so? Yeah. And um so that's like
23:52
logically right that's where I am. And then I watched that like promo that
23:57
Apple put out. It's pretty cute. And they're not even doing anything. They're just all sitting at it all. By
24:02
the way, it's um Ted, Rebecca, um Higgins, and Keely. And
24:10
um I watched it. I was like, "Yeah, I'm all in. Let's do it."
24:17
Um because Ted Lasso like is one of the most one of my favorite shows for sure.
24:24
Um well I don't think they would do it if they didn't have a good idea of where this season was going to go or maybe
24:29
even more. like we for all we know there's another three season story arc that they have in mind because Jason Sedakus was very clear
24:36
that it wasn't happening unless there's a reason to and and so I like my big question mark that we'll probably have
24:42
answered fairly quickly is what is that uh in who has the internal conflict that's
24:49
being overcome like what is that that main thing that that's going to be um the catalyst for this and because there
24:57
was clearly a a plotline Mhm. in the first three seasons that that you could follow along. So, I'm curious to
25:03
see what that is. Or is it a development of what we already know? Like I just hope it it has that um sucker punch to
25:09
the heart like the first three seasons. The biggest thing that is important to me about Ted Lasso is it is showing that
25:16
um even people that you think are irredeemable um can be saved if they just believe.
25:24
Um and that sounds so cheesy. Sounds like that Christmas show.
25:29
But um literally if you followed along I'm not going to spoil anything, but if you followed along Ted Lasso, if you
25:35
never watched Ted Lasso, I recommend you start it. If you have watched it, you know about the character arc from season
25:42
two to three. Um when you go back and watch it, you're like, "Oh, there was seeds in season one, too."
25:48
That was like everybody was like, "No, there's no way it can be done." And by
25:54
the end of it, you're like, "Oh, this is just a person that got really caught up and they made bad decisions."
26:01
And if you haven't watched it yet, all you have to do is when you upgrade your iPhone, use your free Apple TV. You get your free Apple TV for a month
26:07
or whatever it is and just binge watch it. You'll you'll be glad you did. It's fun. It's positive. It's funny.
26:14
It is very good. It's a solid show. Um, which is why it's on the show tonight. All right. Finally, we don't know if
26:21
this is going to be a solid show or not, but we would be remiss if we did not talk about Tron Aries.
26:29
There's a new trailer. We got to learn more about the plot and the backstory of Tron Aries. And uh what
26:37
did you think of this new trailer? Cuz I had an immediate thought when I saw it. So, I think
26:47
here's what I have to say. Mhm. I think I summed it up really well when I first watched the trailer. Okay, within the first minute I went, "This is
26:54
set up like a weird horror movie because it's like, oh, the tech CEO is too big
27:00
for his britches. I cannot fail. Look at this perfect AI thing." Um,
27:08
it does play to the wooden persona. Yeah. Um, I literally was like, I'm sorry,
27:14
this is the most obvious setup in history. Also though, like we are watching everybody downfall to AI around
27:20
us. So, so here's here's what I thought when I watched the trailer. What did you think? It's like, oh, so it's digital Jurassic
27:28
Park. Like literally, I was listening to them talk and I'm like, or Jurassic World,
27:33
you know, like whatever. It's the whole like, oh, we have this thing we can do with science that we probably shouldn't
27:39
mess with, but we're gonna And it's really it's bringing something to life that you probably shouldn't bring to life. It's
27:45
also the whole MCU super soldier thing. Yeah. Like, oh, we're going to make this
27:50
unstoppable. And as excited as I am for it, that is my huge concern is it's a story that's
27:58
been told many times. And I really hope there's
28:04
something unique to it. Like, and if we get like I totally agree. If
28:10
we get electronica back, I'm I don't even care then. Like it would be probably red and black instead of blue
28:17
and black this time. We don't know what you really want. I was like, you don't want electronica
28:22
back. You want Flynn's arcade back. I want the whole thing. Like, no, because you can't have Flint because they did the arcade thing without
28:28
Electronica when it was like electronica light. Um, and it just wasn't the same. You need the full like you need the
28:35
dancers. You need like you need the whole thing. Yeah. Um because there is something that's very magical about the
28:42
entire experience and and it's it's it's taking you through a journey through the night and I think that's what that did
28:48
well. That's what Tea Party did really well when it first like Disney's at its best when it's taking you on an journey
28:56
that's that's unlike anything you can get anywhere else and it makes you go wow. Like to me, any Disney experience
29:03
that makes me go, "Wow." Like that's something that Disney does that most people don't. Um
29:10
uh that probably be Katie. I don't know cuz to answer the Electronica tutu
29:16
question. Um yeah, it'll be interesting to see. Like I'm
29:22
I don't even know what to think at this point because part of me is like are they just giving us like a red herring
29:29
right now or like I don't know. Like I don't know. And I don't know enough about Tron to
29:37
like you keep saying we need to watch Tron. I have no interest in watching Tron at all. Oh so so we can't do a
29:43
We could if y'all are chilling. actually think I think technologically we can do adaps
29:50
watch now. We're getting close at least. All right, now it's time if you have any questions
29:55
or comments that you'd like us to respond to, it is time for
30:10
I still like the little at the end. Like that's my favorite part. Um, there was one comment you
30:15
pulled out at the beginning of the show, Katie. What was it? Something about Muppets.
30:24
Scrolling up looking for it. Um,
30:29
had to do with Hall of Fame or something. Oh, Adaps Magic Muppet Hall of Fame. There it is. Should There we go. Should
30:37
there be a Dapsy Muppet Hall of Fame? Would that be an entire new Dapsy category? No, I was just thinking like
30:44
uh what is your deal? She 100% can like see
30:49
herself. I'm pretty sure sometimes anyway, Dapsy Hall of Fame. I don't think it would. I don't know. Do you want to do it on the Dapsies?
30:55
I don't know. Maybe we should let them decide. Um
31:02
you're tell Studios with the removal of the archway. Do you think they'll clean up the ramp and steps nearby? I hope
31:08
so. I feel like they have to. I actually think it opens things up a lot more so that you can clear that area out a
31:14
little bit more. It'll be interesting to see what exactly they do clear out or keep
31:20
like that that would make. Yes. So, I will say Tiana has read all
31:27
of your guys' fan mail. princess.
31:34
She's read all of your fan mail and she says, "Thank you." And she says that she
31:40
is the DAP's magic muppet in the Hall of Fame. There you go. I love your lady.
31:46
There you go. Go back to seeking. Yes, this is Yes, she is the Muppet Hall of Fame. Um Okay. Bye, Tiana. Um but
31:54
like who do you think the Muppets Hall of Fame would be? Well, that would be what the DAPS are for. Oh, I would just like say, well, I
32:00
know you'd put like Kermit. Well, you it depends which the categories were. Like if it's just a
32:07
Hall of Fame where we pick one a year, that's an easy thing. But but um
32:12
Chicago, it would depend on how we play that out. I think I think that's an it's not a bad idea. Um we could take nominations as it
32:20
gets closer to the DAPS and then um and then we could uh figure out what we what
32:26
we want it to be. if you think. Yeah, there you go. Possibly.
32:31
Bobo bear Bobo the bear. He would be uh in the DAPS Hall of Fame
32:37
because he didn't get chosen to be honored during the 70th um hall of fame episode with categories.
32:44
Oh, and so instead of Dapsies, do like a DAPS Hall of Fame. Is that what we're
32:49
saying? Yeah. Oh, that's an interesting idea. Scooter believes in Chicago.
32:55
Um, I think you need to make that go viral somehow and just have like Chicago start a thing for Scooter and then get
33:02
Scooter to go to Chicago. Well, you know why Scooter is a thing for Etsy, right? No, I have no clue.
33:08
Okay. So, you know that like fake map with fake uh It's not a fake map. The map is real. It has like really weird
33:15
inflated survey numbers that's like, "Oh, this is each state's favorite muppet." Oh, yeah. Yeah. It said Illinois's
33:21
favorite muppet is Scooter. So Y has really taken that home. Well, good job.
33:26
But you know who California's favorite muppet is? Who? Who's the one Muppet I hate more than
33:32
anything in the world? Who? Waldo Graphic. See, that just doesn't make sense. Nobody knows.
33:39
I think they just make it up. Um, nobody knows who Waldo Capic is. And the whole state of California isn't like I
33:45
love Waldo Capic. Also, also you survey all of America.
33:52
Everybody's going to say their favorite muppet is Kermit. You might have a few Miss Piggies in there. No, I think they made it up. Um,
34:00
anyway, do you get Wait, if you get a Dapsy, do you get in the Dapsy Hall of Fame? See,
34:05
that's where it gets tricky tricky. Um,
34:12
Chris is gonna explain for us. Thank you. Oh my god, I can't wait. Um, so Clocky says, "Yes, if you get a DAPsy, you're
34:17
in the Dapsy Hall of Fame," which would make sense to me. And I think we have,
34:22
honestly, I think we have lists everywhere of every year's Dapsy
34:30
other than maybe the first year because I think we didn't actually digitize. I think we literally made the Dapsies and
34:36
gave them. That might have been for a couple years. I don't know cuz cuz it used to be
34:43
I'm going to save that for Patreon. How the dapsies worked originally. Yeah, I also going to save for Patreon the fact that I don't think any other
34:49
list is out there. The original lists. Yeah, I have I have old lists.
34:56
Okay. Yeah. Um anyh who um
35:03
uh yeah, the DAPS are very serious business and we cannot disclose the uh academy process.
35:09
We can how the old ones went, but just not here. Patreon um patreon.com/depsm
35:17
according to clocky rules. Yeah, there you go. Um which means I feel like we need to make a Dapsy Hall of Fame page on the
35:24
site. I'm also in the Pretty cool. And also I am not then. No. And also
35:33
Okay. Um True. Yeah. You know who else is in the Hall of Fame? And I I just want to say this
35:40
and maybe we'll clip this out and send it to them or something. Um,
35:45
this year at the DAPS, we gave a DAPsy to our friends Melinda
35:52
and Adam. And this year, Melinda and Adam got engaged. So, I'm not saying that being
36:00
in the Dapsy Hall of Fame finds you true love, but like literally right here, it moves things along. What was their
36:07
Dapsy? It was the Madam Award because Melinda and Adam Madam
36:13
um anyway I just I just want to say that like there we go. There we go. All right. If you want us to be part of your
36:18
proposal, um we will say no, but thanks for I think we'd help. I think it'd be great. That'd be hil Can
36:25
you imagine somebody doing a proposal through Geeks or Geeks Corner? Like I think that's hilarious.
36:30
If you want Tiana to say it, that's like an extra charge though. She her cameo prices are insane,
36:36
right? And if if you want us to write music, that's a little bit more, too. Um, all right, Katie, we're running out
36:41
of time. What should people do? Go to dabsmagic.com. Check out all the Disney and geek news as it happens. You should subscribe to our mailing list so
36:48
you don't miss any of it. Also, go to patreon.com/dapsmagic where you would be allowed to find out
36:54
the secrets of the DAP scene. Maybe we'll do that on the pre-show next week. So, remind us, Bailey. Uh, also
37:00
make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel. We've got a ton of videos going up still from Japan cuz I have a bunch
37:06
more of those. I think the next one actually might be Dreamlights. Um, we will see. I think that is it. Yeah. But
37:12
anyway, we are uh putting up a lot of fun stuff and hopefully you're enjoying it. But that is all the time we have for
37:18
you this week. So, we will see you around the corner. Bye.
