On this day in 2008, the TV special, ‘A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa’ debuted on NBC. In it, the Muppets attempt to deliver letters to Santa at the North Pole after Gonzo fails to mail them during a frenzied trip to the post office. ‘Letters to Santa’ features cameos from Richard Griffiths, Whoopi Goldberg, Jane Krakowski, Nathan Lane, and Uma Thurman, among others.
