Welcome to Geeks Corner. I'm Mr. Daps. I'm Katie. And did you know that the Disney Destiny can carry up to 4,000
0:25
passengers and has 115 or 1555 crew
0:31
with,54 staterooms? Wow. I didn't That's a lot of people.
0:37
I did not know that. That's a lot of people say too many people. Just a few. That is though less than the
0:44
icon class of chefs from Royal Caribbean because I believe the icon what?
0:50
Uhhuh. I believe the icon class has like over 5,000. I believe it's also a much bigger ship. Well, correct. But I'm saying like
0:58
for as I think it's good that Disney isn't going into icon class ships or anything like that
1:05
other than that one Disney adventure that's basically an icon class. Like they're very
1:11
similar. The one in the one that will go to Singapore. It's not I was going to say the one in Singapore, right? Yeah, it'll come out in March.
1:16
But that's a different goal of the ship. Yeah, that was a goal of money's available or or a good deal is
1:23
available. Let's make something happen. Um, which brilliant. The Icon class ships for Royal Caribbean
1:29
go into like normal ports. They're just like, "Oh, I don't know. This one just has a water slide on it
1:35
and it's like a floating city." that to me I'm like I would prefer Disney keep their
1:42
their their differences. Yeah, that's fair. I think that's that's totally fair. Um
1:47
anyway, each it is interesting though because each uh cruise line has its own things that it
1:54
excels at. Yes. And uh Disney Cruise Line is magic. Yeah. So, what I was going to say is that while you're here, you should subscribe
2:01
to youtube.com/dapsmagic. Yep. Uh you should go to Patreon.
2:06
patreon.com/appsmagic. We have a post show which if if this is the conversation we're kicking off with, boy
2:12
howdy. Post show is show and tell tonight, too. Yeah, there's there's actually some really cool stuff that I haven't even
2:17
seen. I haven't either. I purposely waited for I've seen one of three things for show and tell. Um and then go into the comments for a
2:24
segment we have at the end called comments comments. But right now, we're going to do a different segment and that's talking about Muppets. Thanks, Daddy. Thank you,
2:31
Mr. Dad. Thanks, man. Thank you, Mr. Dad. Thanks, man. All right, this week
2:37
we had another Muppet that was a bit of surprise that didn't upload. Apparently,
2:43
I was uploading it and I closed the computer so it probably didn't finish uploading. Uh, but we got Baskerville
2:49
the Hound. So, I'm impressed that I remembered that without notes. Um,
2:55
Baskerville. It was a choice. Like, at least I recognized him. Like, that was good. Oh,
3:02
I did. He's he's kind of um the sidekick for Ralph occasionally.
3:09
I am getting increasingly angrier. How about anxious?
3:14
Sure. Um I I will say anxious probably is a
3:20
good word because I'm like there's no way they forgot Gonzo, right? Like they didn't, right? Or Miss Piggy. I think Miss Piggy is the grand finale.
3:27
So there's seven left, I think. Yeah, the deep poll should feel more
3:32
exciting. Yeah, here I am. Yes. Um, the problem is
3:38
Mhm. and I am saying this independently. I do not speak for the brand of the company. Use Gloria Stefon as a deep poll. Go
3:44
ahead. Yeah. I do not speak for the brand of the company of D Magic, but I have I haven't always been comforted
3:52
by the way the Muppets organization has been led or the choices that have been
3:58
made. Therefore, if it was like Disney doing 70 years of characters, like, okay, they're going to
4:04
hit Mickey. They're going to hit Minnie. They're going to hit like the Sensational Six, whatever they call them now.
4:11
But since it's the Muppets, I'm like, somebody could have just forgotten. Like, I don't think they did. Also, baby scooter, but not regular
4:18
scooter. Yeah, that that's that's interesting. It's a choice, right? And that makes me
4:23
believe that we're not doing like and honestly if you're going to do that I would have just done scooter as
4:28
baby or regular like done both over the course of the week of like oh today is this one is the thing.
4:34
Did you know he was also he was also a baby twice.
4:39
Twice. Well cuz it was the original Muppet Babies and then they went back and redid it. So So anyway, um I am sticking with Gonzo.
4:47
Yes. I think we all have to root for Gonzo at this point. We're getting Yeah. like are there who are the other
4:53
big ones that we haven't hit besides Gonzo and we've got Statler and Waldorf. Yeah,
5:01
I think so. Like I don't have my list this week. So, uh I think we've got
5:07
um let me see. Let me just look up that is that's the question we need to look at for next week is
5:14
Muppets. It was baby skater. Okay,
5:19
there there we go. Okay, that makes more sense. Um, does that mean no scooter? See, this is what happens. We don't have
5:25
notes. We don't know what's going on. Um, um, so we've had, weirdly enough, when
5:31
you Google the main Muppets, um, Bunson and Beaker come up first. Okay,
5:36
which is strange. Um, Scooter was June 13th. Okay, good.
5:42
Okay, I feel a little bit better now. Clifford. Okay, who's not a main muppet. Like, what is
5:48
towards the end? was or towards the end of Jim Henson's life. I feel like he was like you when I was a kid you saw him
5:54
quite a bit. Elmo isn't um Disney Fuzzy Kermit.
5:59
Mhm. Link Hogthro. Have we gotten Link? I think so. Okay. I also think so. Chris is going to
6:06
uh I thought we had I'm pretty sure we've had Rol Statler and Waldorf. Um Camila.
6:12
If we haven't had Camila, that'd be if we have had Camila that'd be weird because how would we have Camila and not Gonzo? It'd be funny if Camila was next
6:18
week and then Gonzo was the week after. Um, Pepe the King Pong, which we have
6:23
had. Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Swedish Chef, we The Electric Mayhem, they just, you
6:30
know, Yeah. See, Link was last year. I thought so. I remembered that. That's what I thought. I was like, I remember there being a pigs in space cuz
6:36
I kept going pigs. We really just need the database. Oh, Camila was January 31st. I forgot about that.
6:42
So, how on God's green earth? So, we really just need a database of the ones
6:47
that aren't like that are left that haven't been spoken yet.
6:52
Per Wikipedia, these are the main Muppets.
6:57
Kermit, Piggy, Fozy, Gonzo, Ralph, Scooter, Animal,
7:04
Pepe, the Kingpong, Rizzo, Walter, Dr. Teeth, and the Electric Mayhem.
7:11
Again, all as one. Uh, Bunson, Beaker, Swedish Chef, Statatler, and Waldorf,
7:18
Sam Eagle, Camila, and that is it. So, three on there that didn't. Was that
7:23
what I heard? No, they all have. Except for Gonzo. Well, Miss Piggy.
7:28
Well, and Miss Piggy. I thought I third heard a third one. All right. Um, we do. We have the list of ones that
7:35
haven't been used, though. That's the question. We need to look into this. Muppets because I'm sorry, I wouldn't have thought to put these like weird
7:42
some of these weird That's That's what we need though is the list of Muppets that have ever appeared on screen it looks like.
7:48
And like are we counting Jim Henson Muppet? Are we like I I would be okay with that. But you never know.
7:54
How many do we have left? Five, six, seven, I think, is what I said if if I'm correct. Uh we will see though. Like
8:01
we'll we'll keep hoping. And I think everybody's voting for Gonzo this week or something like that. All right,
8:08
moving right along. Will we see the muppets? Also a good question. They technically count. I would throw them
8:14
all together. I would throw all the moopetss together. All right, this week, in fact, just
8:19
yesterday, the Disney Destiny, which is a beautiful new Wishclass ship, was
8:25
christened and it will be uh going on its maiden voyage on the 20th of
8:30
November. Currently, there's people on this ship experiencing it. all of the heroes and villains stories that go with
8:38
this ship. Susan Egan was the godmother for the ship and she did her uh magical
8:46
non- champagne digital champagne. Can I be so frank? If I was a godmother of a ship, if I did something in my life
8:52
that I got to be a godmother of a cruise ship, I'd be a little mad if I didn't get to break the bottle of champagne.
8:57
It'd be kind of cool, but also I I think let's talk about the christristening. Yeah, I wouldn't want to give up the
9:03
christristening for the the champagne bottle because I loved how they used projections on the ship.
9:08
The uh the drones I actually thought were very effective there. That was
9:15
pretty awesome. And um the live music I thought was great, too.
9:21
And uh I wouldn't want to give that up personally. Yeah. No, they they did some really
9:26
incredible stuff. I was just saying personally I would be like, "Oh, I'm a godmother of a ship. Cool. Where's the
9:31
bottle of champagne? They're like, actually, we're projecting it. I'd be like, that's crazy. Please.
9:39
Um, and Star of the Seas godmother is um
9:47
uh Hannah Wingham, right? I don't remember. Are we the same one? No, cuz she's Princess.
9:53
Uh oh. Duh. I think it was the astronaut or something. The sun princess was anyway Hannah
9:58
Wingham. Disney Destiny. the Disney Destiny. I thought the christristening looked amazing. I thought the usage of drones
10:04
was really, really cool. My favorite part was when they had drone fireworks and they put firework noises
10:11
behind the drones. I thought that was very funny. Um, I literally went, "Oh,
10:18
I thought it was hilar It actually added a level of believability to it cuz like you kind of almost took it at face value
10:24
that way." But, um, it was very funny to watch. I I love that part. uh Kelly
10:29
Gerardy for the uh Star of the Seas and um I'm sure it's gonna show up in the
10:35
comments, but uh yeah, so they had this great I thought it was a fun uh
10:42
christristening. I liked it better than the one they did for the treasure personally. Oh yeah. And I've been watching a few of these
10:47
through the years. Um the wish might have been better. NH this had the better
10:53
drones and the projections and stuff like this. Yeah, it was super cool. One of my favorite parts was when they did uh
10:59
Kella Deville's signature. Yeah, that was and then they highlighted evil like it was very innovative.
11:05
The rest of the signature fell down and it was evil in red and and like when they were singing her song how they had the projected mouth
11:12
singing along with the the ensemble like it was I thought it is really weird like how much we can
11:18
do now like technology and how fast like and they're not moving like they're moving fast but they're not
11:24
like they're they're just whatever. Um, so here's my question. There's there's a
11:30
ton of stuff going on on this ship. What are your five favorite things will take turns. What's your first of five?
11:37
Uh, oh my gosh, that's really hard. Um, I'm actually going to say the
11:42
stateaterooms, but the Mulan themed stateaterooms, I thought they were so
11:48
pretty. Um, I loved the art that they used for it. Um, obviously all of the rooms are so nice, but uh, specifically
11:55
the Mulan art stood out to me. I really liked it. For my first one, I am going to go with
12:00
the Disney Hercules show. Oh, yeah. Which looks like it would be a blast. I'm also guessing it's good. Like cruise
12:07
shows are never too long. It's true. That's actually what makes They're kind of a highlight reel of the
12:13
story. So like I would love to see that show and I'd love to see the one in London right now
12:19
because they're both two theatrical takes on the animated classic. And I do think it would be fun to see the
12:26
similarities and differences between the two shows. I mean, they're gonna be very different. Yeah. But
12:33
I'm sure there's highlights that hit in both. And I wouldn't be surprised if
12:38
the cruise line version is is kind of a highlight reel of the uh the one in London. But we do have a theater ready
12:45
and waiting in DCA and that would be amazing. All right. Number two for you. Uh the Corella Deville Piano Bar.
12:52
Nice. Yeah. So, the way that works is they have a piano bar all spots. In fact, fact, a
12:59
good friend of mine, Matt, is playing piano there, which blew my mind when I saw him in all these videos yesterday
13:06
and today. And I know him from way back in the day at Coat Corner when he'd play with Ragtime Robert as a guest. And it's
13:12
very fun to watch how his career has progressed through the years. But uh uh so anyway, at certain points they have
13:19
Kella just hop in and take over the place and get mad that you're singing or playing I'm assuming Kella Deville and
13:25
so you have to sing uh a better like make up a new version of it that's more complimentary to Miss Miss Deville.
13:32
I just love a piano bar. I think piano bars are so fun. Yeah. And then for it to have this great
13:38
theme, this story, this interactivity, I think it looks super fun. Well, and I've I've heard Matt play, and that's enough
13:44
of a reason for me to want to go is is he's fantastic. Um, I'm gonna go with for my second one,
13:53
I am going to choose Oh, the uh what is it? Pride uh is it Pride Lands Feast of
14:00
the Lion King? I think so. That is their new dining show. From what I'm seeing from a few friends on the
14:06
cruise, this is the best dinner dining show on a cruise line or Disney cruise
14:11
line right now. Um, it looks to me, and this is why I really want to see it though, it looks very much to me like
14:17
Tales of the Lion King, but modified for the cruise and add a song here. But I would be very
14:24
interested to see how similar yet different this is with what we had in
14:30
well first Disney California Adventure and then Fantasy Land Theater at Disneyland. And that looks like a lot of
14:35
fun and the food looks delicious too. Um I just looked at time so I'm going to keep mine quick. Number three. Number three is specifically in the
14:43
signature suites there is a bathtub. I just think it's funny you're going for the rooms and I'm like oh this this
14:50
entertainment thing. You knew this was going to happen. You knew I was going to say this. Johnny will be proud. There is a bathtub in the suite.
14:56
Mhm. In multiple of the suites next to a giant glass window, so you can look
15:03
outside while you take a luxurious bubble bath. And I was like, "Oh, this is this is elite."
15:10
Okay. And my next one is Cask and Cannon, which is their Pirates of the Caribbean themed pub,
15:15
which I feel like is probably going to be similar to the Beacon Barrel. In fact, I saw there was a remy nod in
15:21
there from uh Adam Bankhurst of IGN and uh that looks like fun. And who wouldn't
15:28
want Captain Jack Sparrow to just come randomly barging into your pub and mayhem ensuing? Um I think that would be
15:34
a blast. Number four. Sure. Uh number four is the Sanctum Bar.
15:41
I think that's really really cool. I think that having seen a demonstration
15:47
of some of the drinks from the Sanctum Bar at Destination D23, even more cool. Like that one. That
15:54
would be very, very awesome. And I'm all for that one. Uh my next one is going to
16:00
be Don't take my number five. Don't do it. This is my number four.
16:05
I know. I'm saying don't take my number five. Like what I'm about to say. Oh, okay.
16:11
Um, I'm thinking I don't know which one I want to go for.
16:19
I'm going to go with the shows in the Grand Hall. Um, just because looking at specifically the one that is Sleeping
16:26
Beauty more or less, like it's it's a play on like it's close enough and it looks like Maleficent shows up and it's
16:31
really cool. Um, but I like how they're using that space and I also like how they're using the improv with all of
16:38
this and and so you just have not improv but spontane spontaneous moments where
16:44
you're seeing characters pop up and maybe you get pulled somewhere or whatever. Um, I think that's really cool.
16:50
All right, number five. Dr. Facilia doing magic tricks. That was where I was going and I had a feeling. Um, I think it is so cool that it is off
16:57
of the beaten path. It is something that is a special moment for guests. Who
17:02
doesn't want to see Dr. Vicilia do magic tricks? Um, did you say the saga? No.
17:07
That is my fifth one. Uh, because Deadpool is there. Yeah. And a really weird looking Captain
17:13
America something was going on. Like I don't entirely know everything that was happening there, but it looks like it's
17:18
fun. It looks like it's insane and I'm all for it. Adults only show, correct? I believe so. Okay.
17:23
I don't entirely know because I haven't been on it yet and I haven't heard from all my friends yet. So, when they get back, hopefully we'll know more.
17:29
Hey, Disney Cruise Line. But yeah, you know how we could fix that? That is everybody on their own time,
17:36
right? Yes. Um, all right. This week, Paint the Night ended its 2025 run on Sunday
17:42
night. We were there to film it and take photos and all of that fun jazz. What do you think about it being done for a
17:47
month and a half? You know, I'm happy that it's only for a month and a half. I think Paint the Night is one of the most special parades
17:52
at the Disneyland Resort. I could say it until I couldn't talk anymore. Um, I
17:59
It's one of those things where sometimes there's beloved fan parades or fan
18:04
parades that are beloved by fans and then like normal people watch it for the first time and they go, "Um, okay, sure.
18:12
Everybody gets this one. Festival of Fantasy might be that for me." Um, and yeah, Paint the Night is
18:18
one of those ones where it's like the music is fun, the lights are fun, the characters are fun.
18:24
It's just so good. It is. It's It's a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to returning in the new year. And uh yeah, I I kind of wish
18:32
they'd kept it going through Christmas because I just think I get asked all the time the most common thing is like, "Oh,
18:38
I don't want to miss the 70th." And that to me is one of the highlights of the 70th. And so I I kind of wish they kept
18:44
that going, but um it will be back. So, you know, don't come during Christmas if you want to paint the night. But it is
18:52
time for a game. Hopefully you are all ready for this. It is time for
19:02
That's right. It is time for not so magical markups. This time it is not Disney, even though the sign said it was
19:08
because I was inspired. Starbucks released a line of new merchandise this
19:14
last week. Uh we went and looked at all of this merchandise. I've picked ones that I thought were fun. Not necessarily
19:21
ones that I wanted, just things that caught my eye. Well, you didn't get anything from the holiday line.
19:26
No, I don't usually because they don't sell the uh penguin. No, the uh everlasting January tumbler.
19:33
Like that's the only thing I'd really want. The January refill tumbler. January refill. Come on, Starbucks. Bring back.
19:39
All right. So, the way this is going to work is I am going to show you a piece of merchandise from Starbucks and show
19:44
you what the original price is. And then you are going to guess what that price was when I went and looked for it on
19:51
eBay. And the way I do it is I search the exact title that I found on the
19:56
Starbucks website and then I put it into eBay and the first thing I see is what you get, which 98% of the time means
20:02
it's the top one, but sometimes the top one looks like an ad to me, so my my eyes go to the second one. But I think
20:09
they're all top tonight. You're a journalist. All right. First item is the Siren's Tail mug. This
20:16
is a 14oz mug. And apparently that's supposed to look like a Siren's Tail. And on if you were to go get one at
20:23
Starbucks before it sold out, it was $19.95 if it sold out. I don't know. It does
20:28
say Starbucks on the inside. I think that's kind of cute. Um, so this is 1995
20:35
if you were to buy it from Starbucks. Um, what do you think it is going for on
20:40
eBay? I'm going to say $35. $35. I will say anecdotally, I have not seen
20:48
one person purchase this month. Um, Roger says $25.
20:53
I Yeah. So, $20 from Chris, $4 from Mikey. Hi,
20:59
Mikey. I loved your Lego set the other day. I $30 from Yang Lino,
21:06
$38 from Bailey, 44. Oh, 44, not four from four. Okay. Bold move. Um, yeah. So,
21:13
anecdotally, I've not seen this one sell out at all, but I don't know if that's that's that might
21:18
be like messing with the uh No, I really don't think it is. I don't know. That might be like insider
21:24
trading. All right. Lone Savage. The actual eBay price
21:30
for the Siren's Tail mug is $35. I swear, guys, I swear. I swear.
21:38
Was that you? I said $35. I promise you guys. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. See you. Now
21:45
they can see you. No. No. No. No. No. I promise. Okay. One point for Katie. Doubts. Honor.
21:51
Okay. We'll see how this goes. All right. The next one. It's all going to fall apart. Bailey, I did see your comment. The next
21:57
one is the Starbucks Hello Kitty bearista. Very cute. See, I'm wondering
22:04
insider trading. Uh, it is $34.95 if you were to go buy this adorable
22:11
bearista in uh a Starbucks store. Uh, those were all sold out by the time I
22:17
got there. Those were all sold out by the time I got there. Okay, so they're they're popular. Yeah.
22:22
Um, how much do you think, Katie? I'm going to say, um, 58 from Chris.
22:28
Oo, I like it. It's an easy 58. I'm going to say 250. $250.
22:34
Oh my. Okay. $55 from Roger. Okay. I So I This is I guess my insider
22:42
trading. $65 from Mikey, $70 from Go ahead. I saw listings on launch day for $300 or
22:50
$400. You can't say that for this. That is cheating. No, because that was launch day. That
22:55
was 5 days ago. Either way, they made their guess. Now you're going Mhm. No. All right. So, the actual eBay
23:01
price, what did you say again? 250. 250 was $84 and.99,
23:09
which means I believe C uh Laang Lynn. Yay.
23:15
There we go. $64.99 from Bailey. Almost were the spoiler, but you win Bailey.
23:20
Well, you didn't win. We have a tie for first place. I was wrong. And that's why I felt
23:26
comfortable saying I just don't think you should give anything away. All right, the next one is the gingerbread travel mug. 16
23:34
ounces. Very important to know. It's It's a substantial 16 instead of 8 oz mug. I actually kind of like this one.
23:40
Uh it's $29.95 if you were to go buy it at Starbucks. Uh what do we think it would be on the eBay?
23:47
I'm going to say 40. This one went on day one, but very reluctantly.
23:53
Uh, Roger already said 40. You have to say another crap. Did he beat you this time? Uh,
23:59
I'm going to say $44.99 from Chris. I'm going to say $35.
24:05
35 from Katie. Okay, we'll see what uh Bailey says. 45. So, eaked out Chris by
24:12
a penny. And uh do we have one from Laang Lynn?
24:18
Um, but yeah, this is the one that people 47 from Mikey. This is the one people were buying when
24:24
they were like, "Oh, the stuff I actually want is an e and there's $50." All right, so the
24:32
actual eBay price for the gingerbread travel mug is
24:37
58. Oh my god. 95. Oh my god. 58.95. Why?
24:43
Why not? People will buy it. Um, I believe Lao Yang Lin is in the lead with
24:49
two points now. I wish we had Wouldn't it be cool if we had like a scoreboard somehow on here? Do you guys still want to say I'm
24:54
insider trading? I don't know how that would work, but All right, next one. This one's not for you, Bailey.
25:01
Almost. The Starbucks Coffee Company mug ornament for $12.95.
25:07
It's cute. It looks like it has coffee in it. It says the Starbucks Coffee Company on it.
25:12
It has the latte art made of a heart. usually keep the box on it when you're uh when you're decorating with it, but
25:19
you know, also not what the box looks like. Like that's a really funny thing.
25:24
I'm like, it's it's actually much cuter without the box, but you know, that's okay. And there's a design on top. Like, why
25:29
would you? Chris does say it's nice to see non-D Disney things get price gouch. I agree with you. I loved watching all this play
25:35
out this last week. It was a lot of fun. All right, so $12.95 for this ornament.
25:40
Katie, how much do you think? $18. $18. $20 from Roger.
25:47
$29.95 from Mikey. Really likey. He could work for Starbucks. He has the right pricing points. $39 from Chris,
25:54
$35 from Bailey, $25 from Ya La Yang Lin. And the actual eBay price for this
26:03
ornament is $38. This is insane.
26:09
eBay is insane. eBay is insane. Who do we get? Uh uh Bailey.
26:14
Bailey. Bailey's on the board. See, this is why we need the scoreboard. How cool would this be?
26:19
Uh all right. I'm scared of this next one. Last one. This is This is going to be fun. This is for you, Bailey. The glass
26:27
Starbucks barista cold cup. $29.95 from Starbucks. They went fast. They went so
26:34
fast. They were gone before they started. All right. How much do you think?
26:43
I'm going to say 150. $150 from Katie. All right, let's go to the comments. $300. Oh, $200 to Mikey.
26:51
Really likey. Chris said he saw one for 300. I don't know if that's your bid, though. $75
26:58
from Roger. We will see if we get a exact price.
27:04
$125 from Bailey. I love how like all over the place we are. This is great. Also, if you guys want some fun
27:10
anecdotes, go to patreon.com/daptismagic. Wait around for the after show. Um, I've
27:16
got some great anecdotes. There we go. $70 from Lao Young Lynn.
27:22
I'll be the lowball. You know what? Somebody has to. And $300 from Chris. And the actual eBay price
27:31
for this very very very very popular
27:37
cup. It's cute. I don't know if it's whatever. But the actual eBay price is
27:43
or $259.99. So 260 basically, which means
27:50
was that Bailey? Mikey said 200. I think Mike You said 250.
27:56
I said 150. Oh 150. So, I think Mikey got on the board with that. Yay. And I think Lao Yang Lin was our winner
28:02
tonight. So, congratulations, sir. Well done. Well played. All right, we got a few more minutes in
28:09
the show. We will move on. So, well, I was going to tell the exciting news. I found where I could get um Picari
28:16
sweat in the United States, and it's not super far. I was just telling him. Oh, there you go. Congratulations on winning.
28:22
There you go. I have now found a place where I can get Picari sweat. That is true. Not a whole case, but All right. Toy Story 5 teaser trailer
28:29
came out at a very weird time today. It was like early afternoon. I was like, "This isn't a normal time for a teaser
28:36
trailer to be released." But it's cute. It's short.
28:42
It opens up the door to what's going to be happening in Toy Story 5 a little bit. Uh, what did you think of this
28:47
trailer very quickly? Uh, so Woody's back. Yes, that is true. So dramatic. He was like, "No, I just
28:54
wanted you guys to miss me." Um, I think it's cute. I'm not entirely sure
29:01
what to think to be completely honest. So, here's my thought. It's hard to trust again after TS. So, we saw the first five minutes of the
29:06
movie at Destination D23. I loved every second of it. Oh, this I kind of went, "Huh?"
29:16
I now went from like, "Oh, this is going to be amazing." to like, "Huh, I still
29:22
think it's probably good." Like I don't know that it was their strongest trailer. No, it wasn't. The question it asked though is toys
29:29
versus tech and can toys still exist in a tech centric world I think is a good
29:34
one. I think that's going to be interesting and I'm kind of curious to see how that plays out. Um
29:42
so we will see. Like I'm I'm very interesting interested in what they do
29:49
with this show and I hope it's good when it comes out in June. But we are running short on time, so we're going to keep
29:55
that one short. We also got a new holiday short, speaking of short, that I
30:02
think is one of the cutest things this year. Uh, it's called a Disney holiday short, Best Christmas Ever.
30:09
And it's a doodle coming to life. And the doodle is voiced by John Goodman.
30:15
Amazing. I thought this was incredibly sweet. Um, I really really liked this short. It
30:23
It's true to its name. It is very short. It's under three minutes. Um, which is wonderful. Like, it's perfect.
30:28
If it went longer, it would feel stretched out. Drawn out. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Um, no, I
30:33
think it's wonderful and very sweet and it's just going to make you smile. Absolutely. And finally,
30:42
supposed to rain this weekend at Disneyland. It's also supposed to start the holidays at Disneyland. We have a media event on Friday and um we will see
30:50
what we're doing when the rain rain comes down down and if our NorCal peeps could like warn us
30:56
tomorrow what this is like it's apparently hitting you guys starting tomorrow. So like if you could just be like hey it's like crazy. You're like
31:02
hey get a boat you know. But I will say this there are few things prettier than Christmas when it's
31:09
raining at night the light. So, if if everything else goes crazy because of rain and whatever
31:17
weather we get, I am looking forward to that and that'll be great. And then I will just be scrambling to try to get
31:23
reservations whenever I can to try to come in and cover everything else when it's not running. But we will have all
31:28
of that up on our channel and our YouTube channel and all of that stuff as well. Before we leave, I did forget to
31:34
say at the beginning of the show, I have a new book. I haven't started reading it yet. It is by Al Nassar, who if you have been at Disneyland for any long period
31:42
of time, you probably know who he is. If you don't, he's kind of a legend cast me member. Um, it's called Keeping It
31:48
Special and it's about his career at Disneyland. His son also works at Disneyland. I think his wife does, too.
31:55
And anyway, fantastic family. I'm assuming it will be a fantastic book book. Um, check it out. It's got a
32:01
forward by John Stamos. On the back, it's got a uh a thing from Martha Blanding and uh so you don't want to
32:08
miss it. And uh maybe it'll make a good Christmas present or something. The guy that put the Olympic swimming
32:13
pool on Main Street. Yeah, that's always among other things. Al's claim to fame for me is always he put the Olympic swimming pool on Main
32:20
Street. Uh just to answer your question real quick, actually we're still going to do this even though we're running a little bit late. It is time for
32:31
comments. comments. I see your comments there. We will
32:37
respond to them and we'll have a fun little segment getting into them. First first one, do they replace the 70th
32:44
cavalcade in the rain with a rainy day cavalcade? Yes, they do. I have seen this. It's been a fun. But the 70th
32:51
cavalcade's not running right now. It ended was it last week? Something like that.
32:57
Yeah, it's it's Oh, it was the Halloween. Well, it it ended before Halloween. Halloween ran till that's what it was
33:03
till last week and and now that's no longer happening. Um yeah, so there's there's your question.
33:10
Uh if you have any other questions or comments, we'll stick around for a couple minutes. Well, there was I did want to address um
33:18
Chris, you said at the beginning that um piano bars are your favorite place on a cruise ship late at night. I agree. Um
33:24
there are a few things better. So this is just your your fun story.
33:30
Well, if you guys want us to look at anything in the comments, this is your time. But, um, the first cruise we went
33:38
on together, um, we were on a royal ship. There was a schooner bar. It was a
33:44
piano bar. And we were delighted by Ross the piano man.
33:49
Mhm. And Ross the piano man would after almost every single song go and the
33:56
crowd goes wild. The crowd was not going wild. It was amazing. There was maybe a golf clap happening.
34:03
Like it was pretty. It was one of the most spectacular. Um, anytime someone requested Taylor
34:08
Swift, which did happen a lot, he was one of those people. Um, he would only
34:14
play Shake It Off. Um, and it was very entertaining. Um,
34:21
honestly, that was a 10 out of 10 experience. So, I will he actually was good. it just the
34:28
environment was he did not match the envir because it was kind of like this old very nautical like model ships and
34:35
wood and all that decor and so you have this kind of I don't want to call it stodgy but it's
34:41
it's a little bit more traditional and then you have him playing Elton John or
34:47
a lot of Elton John actually um he really liked Elton John but John a lot of Billy Joel
34:53
um that era and he was British yeah it was great it was Great. I miss Ross the piano man. I hope he's
34:59
doing okay. I wonder and then he'd hawk his CDs between between sets. Yeah, it was fantastic.
35:04
Those were the days. Uh all right. Well, I think we are running out of time. I don't see any more comments. What should people do,
35:10
Katie? You should go to dabsmagic.com. Check out all the Disney and positive stuff as it happens. Subscribe to our mailing
35:16
list so you don't miss any of it. And then go to patreon.com/davsmagic where we're going to be in like five
35:23
minutes. So, maybe 10. It'll be soon though. Who's to say? Also, make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel. We have a ton of videos
35:29
going up. I think I have a couple of Japan ones going up this week. I think we also have a tapestry of happiness and
35:37
then a lot of holiday stuff, weather permitted thing if we can. And uh who
35:42
knows what else. We we've got a lot of stuff coming on. But uh that is all the time we have for you this week. So, we will see you around the corner.
35:48
Bye.
