Winnie the Pooh and a Day for Eeyore | DISNEY THIS DAY | March 25, 1983
On this day in 1983, 'Winnie the Pooh and a Day for Eeyore' had its general release. The short film was shown with a reissue of 'The Sword in the Stone.' The plot was based on two chapters from A. A. Milne’s original stories in which Winnie the Pooh invents the “Poohsticks” game and the group celebrates Eeyore’s birthday. This was the first animated Disney film since 1938 to be completely produced outside the Disney Company, by Rick Reinert Productions.
