Water Babies | DISNEY THIS DAY | May 11, 1935

On this day in 1935, the Silly Symphony short film ‘Water Babies’ was released. The story was loosely based on a fairy tale by Charles Kingsley in which baby water sprites frolic in a watercolor world from dawn until dusk. Appearing like kewpie dolls, the tiny fairy folk awake on lily pads, hop rides with fish and swans, bounce on spider webs, and even have a fight with a bullfrog!
