Mickey Mouse Handcar - DISNEY THIS DAY - July 19, 1934

On this day in 1934, the Lionel Corporation partnered with Disney to produce a Mickey Mouse wind-up hand car toy. Famous for their model railroads today, Lionel was facing bankruptcy back then because of the Depression. The Mickey hand car was credited with saving the company!
