On Wednesday morning, members of the media were given a first look at Disney Wonderful World of Sweets ahead of its opening later in the day. Daps Magic was invited to be a part of this group. Ahead of stopping by this new confectionary, a preview of Disney Storyland Boutique was also shared. While no photos or videos were allowed during this preview, photos were shared by the Disneyland Resort for Daps Magic to share. This comes ahead of the store’s opening on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 9:00 AM.
A Store That Changes
This new store in Downtown Disney District is going to have rotating themes, approximately quarterly. The first theme is focused on cute and cuddly things. This will not be a permanent theme as there will be different product offerings and stories that will be coming to the store. Currently, throughout the store, there are some fairly big collections of Winnie the Pooh, Stitch, and Baymax.
Unique Offerings
There are also some other fun things to be found throughout the store as well. This includes a Sakura line that comes from the Disney Store in Japan. There are elements of this line found in the store that can’t be found anywhere else in the United States. The store’s opening theme was also described as “kawaii,” which makes a lot of sense with this unique collection that has been curated. The current Sakura line from Japan is part of a limited-release product capsule that will also change from time to time.
A Store of Stories
Disney Storyland Boutique at its core is all about telling different stories and experiences with everything that is placed on a shelf, created as a sign, or even the register area where people purchase their new treasures. This is a store where the stories and merchandise will regularly change. Don’t expect things to remain on the shelves indefinitely. This will be part of the story and part of the fun of this store.
Downtown Disney District
The new Disney Storyland Boutique is just one of many new offerings that are a part of the transformation of Downtown Disney District. Disney Parkside Market held its grand opening ceremony today as well. This transformation has made the Downtown Disney District more vibrant than ever.
