What has been known as Madame Leota’s carriage house for quite some time now has been coming together at the exit of the Haunted Mansion. There have been some general things known about this new shop as it has been materializing at the exit of the beloved attraction. It is known that it was connected with Madame Leota’s story. It also was known that it would become a gift shop at the exit of the attraction. Today, Disney shared more details about this new shop, including the official name. This comes just weeks after the walls came down around the outside of the carriage house. Below is a look at the new details that were shared today.
The Name: The official name of Madame Leota’s carriage house shop is Madame Leota’s Somewhere Beyond.

The Story: The story for Madame Leota’s Somewhere Beyond has now been expanded beyond just being a carriage house. Here is the official story for this shop that was shared by Disney:
Somewhere Beyond is a carriage house that used to store the same ornate carriage that now remains on the mansion’s front yard. It also contains a boudoir on the mezzanine level. At one point, it was home to the mansion’s head caretaker, but later Madame Leota took up residence. It is filled with her eclectic furniture including a crystal ball, feinting couch and the original parlor chandelier that Leota used in séances at the mansion.
When the first floor of the carriage house became a shop, Leota kindly lent her desks, cabinets and chests as antique artifacts to be showcased along with the merchandise. As a powerful medium moving between worlds, Madame Leota comes and goes a lot and is excited to welcome guests to her home, soon.
The Merchandise: There will be a variety of Haunted Mansion and Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas merchandise found at this shop. This will include apparel and accessories, collectibles, home decor, and more. Disney teased that “eerie and ghostly treasures” will be materializing at different times throughout the year.
Madame Leota’s Somewhere Beyond is set to open at the exit of the Haunted Mansion sometime this winter. This comes after the opening of the expanded grounds of the Haunted Mansion today.
