Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is now open at Disneyland. The attraction, which continues the story of Princess Tiana and her friends, is part of a transformation that Disneyland is seeing on the west side of the park. This transformation sees the continued addition of new stories to the attractions and lands that include Bayou Country and New Orleans Square. This has seen new characters that are sure to become beloved friends appear in the land and attraction. It also has new music, new shops, and the arrival of the Hungry Bear Barbecue Restaurant.
Virtual Queue
Guests wishing to experience Tiana’s Bayou Adventure must utilize a virtual queue (see Daps Magic’s guide on experiencing TIana’s Bayou Adventure here). There are opportunities to enter the virtual queue at 7:00 AM for guests with Disneyland park reservations to start their day and then at 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM for guests who have entered one of the parks at the Disneyland Resort and can enter Disneyland to experience the attraction (i.e. have a Park Hopper option on their ticket if in Disney California Adventure).
A Magical Experience
The attraction is the result of a labor of love by many Walt Disney Imagineers. In the coming days and weeks, Daps Magic will be sharing some of the fun details about how this attraction came together. This includes 19 new original characters, new music, and so many fun details to see while experiencing the queue for the attraction.
Louis’ Critter Club
At the exit of the attraction, Louis’ Critter Club is now open for guests to explore and shop. There are some wonderful details in this shop, including a nod to its previous inhabitant if you look closely. On the opening day of Loui’s Critter Club, Daps Magic was invited to take a tour with one of the Imagineers who helped make it. Take a look at this tour here:
A Big Celebration
The opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure was celebrated on Wednesday night and culminated in a performance that included songwriter P.J. Morton, the voice of Tiana Anika Noni Rose, and the voice of Mama Odie Jenifer Lewis. Accompanied by live musicians and performers, this was a performance that could have come right out of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! It was full of happiness and energy, just like the attraction.
Goin’ Down the Bayou
During the media preview for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the Daps Magic team was invited to experience the attraction. The first time, the experience was filmed. Here is a look at the team’s first time ever on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure:

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a wonderful new addition to the Disneyland Resort. It adds plenty of stories for guests to experience and discover when they visit Bayou Country. Throughout Bayou Country and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, there are moments and stories to be discovered. There is even something inside of the attraction that will end up being revealed as a part of an upcoming Disney+ series!
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Bayou Country, Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree, and even New Orleans Square continue to show the power and magic of Disney storytelling. They are welcome changes and additions to the Disneyland Resort that families will enjoy for years to come. They also are a wonderful indicator for future projects that will be coming to the Disneyland Resort.
