There are two new shows in Disney California Adventure this year for the holidays. They are full of heart and are welcome additions to the holiday celebrations at the Disneyland Resort. Both of these new entertainment offerings are offered Monday through Friday at Disney California Adventure.
Mirabel’s Gifts of the Season
The first show is offered during the day and is called Mirabel’s Gifts of the Season. This has Mirabel and her friends coming together to celebrate the magical gifts of the holidays. This includes music from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Encanto and some heartfelt moments that highlight the beauty of relationships. This show is offered in front of Paradise Gardens Park at the following times during the week:

- 2:10 PM
- 3:45 PM
- 4:45 PM
- 5:45 PM

A Musical Christmas with Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland & Miguel
The second show that is full of heart during the holidays is A Musical Christmas with Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland & Miguel. This takes place in the evenings in Carthay Circle on Buena Vista Street. This has mariachi music, performers, and an appearance by Miguel from Pixar’s Coco.
This show is full of favorite holiday songs that are sung in both English and Spanish. It also has a moment where young guests are invited to join the Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland & Miguel to carry candles and sing Silent Night. The show is full of heart and has moments of beauty. It also has some interesting choreography. Note that when this show begins, there is a cavalcade that goes around the outside of Carthay Circle near the entrance of Carthay Circle restaurant. This means that guests do have to move out of the way for this procession to go by and then move back into position to watch the performance. At the end, the performers depart through the front and center of where the guests are watching. If watching from either of these places (or the areas around them), be prepared to be flexible.

Both of these new entertainment offerings bring a healthy dose of heart that reminds those who watch that the spirit of the season is about love and cherishing those who are dear to us. While stylistically quite different, they both have a similar message that is both joyful and loving. Each of them is worth seeing and a very welcome addition to the entertainment lineup at the Disneyland Resort for the holidays.
