On this day in 1994, ‘Gargoyles’ debuted as part of the Disney Afternoon TV lineup. The main characters are 1,000 year old nocturnal creatures that turn to stone during the day. At night, they protect modern-day New York City. ‘Gargoyles’ was unique as Disney’s first animated drama series, known for its complex storylines. Many characters were voiced by regular ‘Star Trek’ actors, like Jonathan Frakes, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner, and LeVar Burton! [30 years ago in 2024]
