Ahead of its debut on Disney+ on April 22nd, Disneynature has released a trailer for Orangutan. Disney Legend Josh Gad narrates the newest film in the Disneynature series. It follows the life of Indah, an orangutan in Southeast Asia. This is one of two films being released on Disney+ during Earth Month; the other is National Geographic’s Secrets of the Bees, now streaming on Disney+ and from Disney Legend James Cameron. Orangutan is directed by Mark Linfield, who said, “After directing wildlife shows all over the world for the past 30 years, I can honestly say orangutans are my absolute favourite animal! They’re gentle, funny, smart and always surprising. Josh Gad’s narration has really captured their spirit and the camera team managed to film a whole new side of their lives that viewers won’t have seen before. I can’t wait for people to watch this one.”

Disneynature’s Orangutan premieres April 22 on Disney+. Narrated by Disney Legend Josh Gad, this all-new original film takes viewers high in the treetops of the world’s most majestic rainforest canopy in Southeast Asia, where a magnificent and mysterious community filled with playful personalities lives. The immersive feature introduces Indah, an inquisitive adolescent orangutan learning how to navigate life as she prepares to leave her family and venture out on her own for the first time. In celebration of Disneynature’s Orangutan, the Disney Conservation Fund is supporting Wildlife Conservation International and their partner, Forum Konservasi Leuser, to protect Sumatran orangutans across more than 5 million acres of forest habitat — and to help rebuild the Ketambe Research Center and support rangers impacted by catastrophic flooding.
