Zero Waste Art Challenge 2026

Disneyland Resort Cast Members Celebrate Earth Month with Zero Waste Art Challenge

April is Earth Month. There are quite a few different ways that Disney is celebrating this. National Geographic is spearheading a Step Into Wonder initiative. This initiative has a range of content offerings and experiences that are designed to inspire a deeper connection to the natural world. At the Disneyland Resort, cast members are also celebrating Earth Month. One of the ways in which this is being done is with a Zero Waste Art Challenge. The theme this year is “Bears, Bees, and a Bit of Magic.” Unsurprisingly, this led to quite a few Winnie the Pooh-themed creations. This comes as Disney is celebrating 100 years of Winnie the Pooh in 2026.

For the Zero Waste Art Challenge, cast members upcycle trash into art. Their imaginative creations can be seen on display under the Silly Symphony Swings in Disney California Adventure. They really are incredible. Daps Magic team member Steven stopped by on Thursday night and took the following photos of this display. Guests who visit and see this display are encouraged to vote for their favorite in the Disneyland app.

The Disneyland Resort has multiple cast activities throughout the year. Quite a few of them are not seen by the public. This one is special as it gives day guests a chance to see some of the magic that the magic makers get to create together when not on stage. What do you think of these works of art? Which one is your favorite? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
