Disneyland Paris Celebrates 25,000 Wishes Since 1992

Disneyland Paris Celebrates 25,000 Wishes Granted For Kids

Disneyland Paris has a lot to celebrate. This week, along with celebrating the opening of Disney Adventure World and its spectacular new World of Frozen, Disneyland Paris also celebrated the granting of 25,000 wishes for children in need. All of these wishes have been made since 1992 in collaboration with a couple of different organizations, including Make-A-Wish, Rêves, and Petits Princes.

As Disneyland Paris celebrates, it shared the following about this impressive milestone:

DISNEYLAND PARIS CELEBRATES 25,000 CHILDREN’S WISHES GRANTED SINCE 1992

Disneyland Paris has reached a major milestone in its philanthropic commitment – 25,000 wishes of seriously ill children have been granted since 1992, in collaboration with numerous French and European organizations such as Make-A-Wish, Rêves, and Petits Princes.

Lou’s Wish Makes 25,000

On March 28, the inauguration ceremony of World of Frozen featured a performance by Lou, a child whose wish was granted through Make-A-Wish France, marking 25,000 wishes granted at Disneyland Paris. While Lou – a fan of Frozen and Olaf – knew she would be singing on stage during the ceremony, she was surprised to be invited by her favorite singer, Santa, to sing together a few notes of  “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” in front of an audience of invited guests. Time stood still in this particularly touching moment – an unforgettable memory for Lou and her family!

A Strong Commitment for More Than 30 Years

Since the resort opened in 1992, offering moments of magic to those who need it most has been a significant focus for Disneyland Paris. Each year, the destination welcomes more than 1,000 seriously ill children to experience moments of escape and joy in the parks alongside their families. This is made possible through close collaboration with more than 50 French and European associations.

This historic milestone would not have been possible without the dedication of hundreds of Disney VoluntEARS – Cast Members who make every child’s visit unique, offering guests the chance to explore the parks, enjoy exclusive encounters with Disney characters and experience surprises tailored to their wishes.

“Creating and bringing to life unique moments that inspire strength and hope is at the heart of our Disneyland Paris wish program. Our collaboration with Make-A-Wish and numerous organizations in France and across Europe enable us to address the specific needs of each child and their family,” said Marie-Françoise Arrighi from the Disneyland Paris wish program.

The celebration of the weekend continued Sunday 29 when forty families from the Make-A-Wish association coming from countries across all of Europe were the first guests to step into Adventure Way and head into World of Frozen. Read more about it in our dedicated article.
