Progress Continues on Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom

The transformation of Walt Disney World’s Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom continues. Work is currently underway to paint the castle in a theme that is an homage to its original paint scheme. The announcement for this change was made at Destination D23 in the fall of 2025. Now, the realization of that announcement is coming to life in front of the fans’ eyes. On a regular basis, fans can see the castle changing from the color scheme it was painted for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary to this new theme that is more traditional.

This week, Daps Magic team member Steven stopped by Magic Kingdom and took the following photos of the progress of Cinderella Castle. Most of the castle has now been painted grey. Work continues painting the roofs of the turrets on the castle a more vibrant blue now. Every day, cranes can be seen lifting workers up to the roofs to continue work on this project.
