The story of Aladdin has been around for thousands of years and was made into a Disney animated film in 1992. Two animated direct-to-video sequels, along with an animated television show, were also produced. A live-action movie was produced and released in 2019. All Aladdin movies and television shows were popular, and remain fan favorites to this day.
Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular was performed at the Hyperion Theater at Disney California Adventure from 2003 through 2016. The show continues to be performed on the Disney Fantasy and Disney Wish cruise ships.
Disney’s Aladdin was first performed as a Broadway musical at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle in July 2011. Aladdin also had a pre-Broadway tryout at the Ed Mirvish Theatre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, from November 2013 through January 2014.
The musical premiered on Broadway on February 26, 2014, in previews and opened on March 20, 2014, at the New Amsterdam Theatre in New York. The musical continues to be performed in New York and in touring productions around the world, including in multiple languages.
Danielle Monaro is a co-host on the Elvis Duran Morning Show on Z100 in New York. Known for her Danielle Report, where she connects listeners to the latest in pop culture, Monaro also co-hosts “Elvis Duran’s After Party” podcast on iHeartRadio. Working alongside Elvis Duran for more than 25 years, her infectious laugh and Bronx-born authenticity have made her one of the most recognizable voices in radio.
