Disney Adventure World has officially opened to the public. After a magical inaugural ceremony on Saturday night, the reimagined second park at Disneyland Paris opened to the world. With it, the new World of Frozen and Adventure Way also opened. Disney Adventure World now invites guests to experience the worlds of Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, and Marvel.
As guests explore Disney Adventure Way, they will get to experience a new main avenue that takes them deeper into the park called Adventure Way. This area is framed by gardens, includes entertainment, and has some fantastic dining. Guests can enjoy experiences at The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge and Raiponce Tangled Spin, a new spinning attraction for families based on Tangled.
Further back, guests discover Adventure Bay. This beautiful new lake serves as the new center of the park and also the stage for the new nighttime spectacular Disney Cascade of Lights. Beyond Adventure Bay, World of Frozen can be seen rising into the sky. This brings the world of Frozen to life in an immersive fashion.
Opening Day
The opening day began with the debut of the new logo/name for the park being revealed on top of the Earffel Tower. Spider-Man was on top of the tower for this magical moment that started things off in a fantastic fashion.
This was followed by children from Make-A-Wish and their families being welcomed as the first guests to step into Adventure Way. This moment was made even more magical as Adventure Way was lined by cast members, Imagineers, and favorite Disney characters, along with the Disney Marching Band. This set the tone for the day that would be full of heart, full of emotion, and full of magic as they became among the first guests to explore World of Frozen.
Soon, with the park officially open, guests were pouring in to experience the new adventures found in the second park at Disneyland Paris. Inside the World of Frozen, visitors found themselves in the fictional country of Arendelle. There, they were able to experience the family-friendly attraction, Frozen Ever After. This attraction brings the original Frozen film to life through beautiful scenery, beloved music, and state-of-the-art technology.
Outside the castle in the bay, A Celebration in Arendelle captivated audiences as Olaf was seen aboard one of the boats that could be seen gliding across the water, choreographed to original music that was created exclusively for the land. Guests also visited Nordic Crowns Tavern to check out the brand-new menu that was inspired by Nordic cuisine.
Over along Adventure Way, guests enjoyed twirling the day away beneath the glowing lanterns above them on Raiponce Tangled Spin. They also got to enjoy the new dining experiences found along Adventure Way. To top it all off, there were character encounters, live-music moments, and other immersive details that showed Disney Adventure World was also a whole new world to discover.
The opening of Disney Adventure World is part of a multi-year transformation of the second park at Disneyland Paris, formerly known as Walt Disney Studios. This milestone doesn’t mark the end of this journey, however. In the future, fans can look forward to a spinning attraction based on Pixar’s Up, as well as a whole new attraction and area based on Walt Disney Animation Studios’ The Lion King.
