On February 6, 2026, the Napa Rose at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will be reopening after an extended refurbishment. When it reopens, it will be better and more beautiful than ever. With its refreshed design and elevated menu, the restaurant will be entering a new chapter that starts as it celebrates its 25th anniversary. Katrina Mosher, creative director of Walt Disney Imagineering, oversaw the restaurant’s redesign.
Since debuting in 2001, Napa Rose has been a cornerstone of fine dining at the Disneyland Resort. This is a place where guests go for a special dining experience. The reopening continues to honor the restaurant’s legacy while looking thoughtfully to the future. The restaurant also continues to be committed to offering its California wine country–inspired cuisine, refined hospitality, and exceptional craftsmanship.

Chef Andrew Sutton, Culinary Director of Signature Dining at the Disneyland Resort, has a relationship with Napa Rose that datesback to the beginning. He was brought in to help define the restaurant’s identity at the very beginning. He helped shape Napa Rose as a dining destination rooted in California wines and cuisine. A quarter of a century later, he continues to lead the restaurant as it moves forward, balancing the past and the present.

“Reopening Napa Rose feels deeply personal,” said Chef Andrew Sutton. “We took the time to do this thoughtfully – honoring the story of the space while allowing the restaurant to evolve into who we are today. We’re working at the strongest level we ever have, with a menu and wine program shaped by craftsmanship, seasonality, and a broader international perspective. Our focus has always been on cooking with intention and delivering a dining experience worth of Napa Rose’s place in California’s culinary landscape.”

The menu for Napa Rose has been reimagined and is grounded in wine country cooking. It will also feature a seasonal menu with ingredients sourced from leading producers in California and beyond. There will be a focus on seafood, meats, and produce of peak quality. Chef Clint Chin, the Executive Chef of Napa Rose, will provide the day-to-day leadership for the restaurant’s kitchen. He has classical French training that brings discipline and precision to the kitchen. Napa Rose General Manager Jess Soman will oversee the dining experience. Soman has a background in Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star and Michelin three-star dining, which is used to inform the restaurant’s polished and attentive service.

The main dining room will offer a four-course tasting menu that is presented as a cohesive experience. This will allow guests to select from multiple options for each course. The bar and lounge will offer a separate à la carte menu with small plates alongside indulgent offerings, including caviar service, seafood preparations, and charcuterie. All of these offerings are designed to pair with the wine and cocktail programs. There will also be select tableside preparations and the chef’s counter to offer a closer look at the care and craft that is put into each dish.

Disney shared that some incredible entrees can be anticipated on the opening menu. This includes a Colorado rack of lamb, tangerine roasted rocky chicken, or miso cabbage scallion crepes. There will also be some delectable desserts that include a Fassalini reserve white cheddar cannoli or the warm apple honey brioche.

At the bar, guests can enjoy pepita-crusted zucchini blossoms and Berkel-sliced charcuterie or choose to elevate their dining experience with Osetra golden caviar. The cocktail program at the restaurant features beverages made with house-made juices and tinctures. This includes the “East of Furnace Creek,” featuring a butterfly pea flower cordial and Meyer Lemon tincture. Other classic beverages will also be available, like the Sequoia Skyline, a twist on the classic Manhattan. This adds spiciness and herbaceous notes with a pink peppercorn-infused dry sherry, infused with Redwood smoke.

Napa Rose also has an incredible wine program. The extensive collection in its cellar has over 13,000 bottles from approximately 1,500 labels. All of these are overseen by Wine Director Patrick Kirchen. This is a collection with an emphasis on depth, provenance, and thoughtful curation that spans California and the world’s most important wine regions.

The redesign of the restaurant’s interior draws inspiration from California’s Arts and Crafts tradition. It also honors the history, people, and nature of the Napa Valley. Throughout the restaurant, there are details that pay homage to the colors and textures of the region. There will be both natural and handcrafted materials found throughout that have a strong connection to the place, with artwork and artifacts that capture the journey of the Napa Valley.
“At Napa Rose, we invite guests to savor a dining experience that honors the past, draws deeply from nature, and takes inspiration from innovation,” said Katrina Mosher, creative director, Walt Disney Imagineering. “The restaurant’s design reflects Napa Valley as a place where history, nature and people beautifully converge and is inspired by the stories told both inside and outside of the bottle. The aesthetic influences harmonize into an updated and more modern Craftsman look, paying homage to the roots of Disney storytelling and Napa Valley.”

The main dining room has a beautiful chandelier that is modeled after the Mission Vine. It has hanging glass bauble-like grapes and a branch-and-vine design. There will also be towering wooden columns with metal bands that are classic Craftsman architectural details. They also have the feel of wine barrels. The ceiling is arched and frames a beautiful mural that highlights the vineyards of Napa Valley.
Throughout Napa Rose, there will be warm woods, cork, stone, and leather that define the space. There will also be other architectural references to wine barrels and vineyard structures to create a welcome and refined atmosphere. There will also be different experiences to be enjoyed throughout Napa Rose. This comes from the different dining areas that include the open show kitchen, private dining space, outdoor terraces, and the bar and lounge. These all offer unique experiences that are bound together with the beautiful and cohesive design of the restaurant.
From the moment guests enter until the moment they leave, the Napa Rose will offer incredible experiences. At the entrance, there is a floor-to-ceiling wine wall and art installation that showcases the history of the Napa Valley. This provides a dramatic welcome to guests as they enter the restaurant for this refreshed experience.
Napa Rose is open seven days a week. Each day it opens at 5:30 PM and remains open until 9:00 PM. Reservations are suggested and can be made via the Disneyland website or Disneyland app.
