The Disney Adventure is continuing its cruise around the globe. This comes as the massive new Disney Cruise Line ship is heading to Tokyo, Japan, and ultimately Singapore for its maiden voyage. The ship is in the middle of a two-month voyage that takes it from Germany to its home port for the next five years in Singapore. Its maiden voyage will depart from the Marina Bay Cruise Centre on March 10, 2026. Disney released the following image of the Disney Adventure in Los Angeles before it continued on its journey.
The ship was originally named the Global Dream and was purchased by Disney in 2022. The previous owner of the ship had filed for bankruptcy before the Global Dream could be completed. Because of this, Disney was able to get a better deal on the unfinished ship. Disney worked with the Meyer Werft shipbuilding company to complete the cruise ship in Wismar, Germany. In September 2023, it was announced that the ship would be named the Disney Adventure.
The Disney Adventure has seven areas found aboard it. In June of 2024, the areas were revealed. They include areas inspired by the stories of Disney, Pixar, and Marvel. Star Wars was not included as an area for this ship. Areas include Disney Imagination Garden, Disney Discovery Reef, San Fransokyo Street, Wayfinder Bay, Town Square, Marvel Landing, and Toy Story Place. This will see a wide range of Disney stories coming to life, including Big Hero 6, Toy Story, Moana, multiple Disney Princess stories, and more!
