Since the start of the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, World of Color Happiness has had an amusing pre-show that has The Muppets reminding guests not to jump in the bay. For the Lunar New Year celebration at the Disneyland Resort, this is changing. Hurry Home – A Lunar New Year Celebration has returned as the pre-show ahead of World of Color Happiness. This six-minute short tells the story of a little lantern that is hurrying home to be with the ones it loves for Lunar New Year. This pre-show will be presented throughout the Lunar New Year celebration at Disney California Adventure, which continues through February 22, 2026.
On the opening day of the Lunar New Year celebration at the Disneyland Resort, which is celebrating the Year of the Horse, the Daps Magic team was able to catch Hurry Home. Watch video ofthis special pre-show here:
Hurry Home is one of several Lunar New Year entertainment offerings that can be found at Disney California Adventure during the celebration. There are also a variety of food options, activities, and merchandise to enjoy throughout the limited-run of the Lunar New Year celebration.
