Walt Disney World Resort is expanding its pilot program for a luggage transfer service for guests flying Southwest Airlines at Orlando International Airport (MCO). Currently, the program allows guests at select Disney Resort Collection hotels to check their luggage at their hotel when flying out of MCO. An email that has been sent out to guests indicates that the program is being expanded to allow guests flying into Orlando to have their luggage delivered directly to their hotel.
The new service will allow guests to check their luggage with Southwest Airlines at their home airport, and then when they land at MCO, the luggage will be transferred directly to their hotel. This means these guests will not have to stop at baggage claim at MCO and instead make their way directly to the Most Magical Place on Earth. At this point, Disney has not confirmed what resorts are included in this expansion of the pilot program. Guests who are eligible for this service will receive the following email:

We’re excited to share a new pilot program for guests flying Southwest Airlines into Orlando International Airport (MCO) and staying at select Disney Resorts Collection hotels. This convenient service lets you skip baggage claim and have your checked luggage delivered directly to your Disney Resort hotel.
The service will begin operating for flights arriving November 18, 2025 or later. If you’d like to take advantage of the service, your registration window opens 30 days prior to departure and closes 5 days prior to departure.

The email includes a link to register for the service and also get more information. The service is reminiscent of the once-popular Magical Express. The Magical Express would provide both baggage services and transportation services to and from Orlando International Airport to Walt Disney World Resort hotels. This program ended on January 1, 2022.
The current pilot program allows guests to check their Southwest Airlines luggage for flights departing from MCO at the following Disney Resorts Collection hotels:
- Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
- Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
- Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- Disney’s Pop Century Resort
