Today is the first day of Holidays at the Disneyland Resort. It also happens to be a rainy day at the Happiest Place on Earth. As I stand writing this near it’s a small world Holiday, it is a steady trickle of precipitation coming down. If I had to make a bet, there will be no parade today. If this ends up being true, there will instead be a rainy day cavalcade!
I, for one, love a rainy day cavalcade! Between the rain coming down, the upbeat music, and the Disney characters, it is a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day! It is a burst if happiness that simply makes me smile. I think the fact that we don’t often get these adds to the allure. While I wouldn’t want a rainy day cavalcade every day, I love getting them on the rare occasions that we do. In the case of this weekend, there might be a few of them! If that’s true, I’ll be cheering them on!
As the rain comes down on Disneyland and hear the holiday music feel the air, I can’t help but be thankful to be in such a magical place and getting to see these magical offerings… like the rainy day cavalcade!
