On September 8, fans of Star Trek celebrated 59 years since Star Trek first appeared on television in the United States. As the franchise heads towards its 60th anniversary on September 8, 2026, some announcements were made. One of these revolved around a new partnership with LEGO. A video was released showing a LEGO minifig of Captain Picard beaming aboard what appears to be the Transporter Room of the Enterprise-D.
This is the first collaboration between LEGO and Star Trek. Both have shared values of imagination, exploration, and building a better tomorrow, said the announcement from Star Trek. This makes for an “ideal partnership for fans of all ages.” While specifics about this partnership are light, they are promised to be coming in the future.
The new collaboration comes as LEGO continues to boldly go further into other geek worlds. There are new Star Wars LEGO sets being released regularly, and a new Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship will be sailing into stores soon. It is a natural progression that LEGO would begin to let fans build the ships and stories of Star Trek as well.
