The Disney Cruise Line has a lot of magic to be explored and experienced aboard its various ships in the fleet. One of the ships, the Disney Wish, is full of magic to be enjoyed. The Disney Cruise Line has shared a tour of this ship’s recently updated stateroom halls via the Disney Parks Blog. Check them out below!
The Disney Wish debuted in 2022 with a wave of new fairytale magic, including a first for Disney Cruise Line: Themed stateroom hallways. Each hallway style sets the scene for your voyage with specially selected artwork, carpeting, and character lighting.
There are four main Disney Wish stateroom and hallway styles, each tied to a signature theme.
Cinderella and Frozen (Decks 2, 6, 7)
Princess and the Frog and Sleeping Beauty (Decks 8, 9)
Moana and The Little Mermaid (Decks 10, 11)
Tangled (Concierge Deck 12)
In addition, the two Royal Suites on Deck 12 are themed to Sleeping Beauty; the Princess Aurora Royal Suite and Briar Rose Royal Suite. The Wish Tower Suite on Deck 13 features a refined Moana theme.
New Hallway Themes Bring “Wish Extender” Hooks
A popular pastime on a Disney Cruise Line ship is strolling the decks to check out fellow passengers’ festive stateroom door decorations. Some families have also participated in the popular, fan-led “fish extender” gift exchanges, named after the fish and seahorse-shaped hooks at each stateroom door on the Magic, Wonder, Dream, and Fantasy ships.
For fans of the fish extender exchange that are planning to hang pockets and spread pixie dust, check this out: the door hooks on the Disney Wish fit each hallway theme and have a new nickname, “Wish extenders.”
Let’s take a walk through each Disney Wish stateroom hallway style so you’ll know what to expect on your next Disney Wish cruise. We’ll see which decks are themed, the visual details to spot, and the character touches that make every stroll down the corridor a little more magical.
Cinderella and Frozen Themed Hallways (Decks 2, 6, and 7)
On these decks, staterooms are themed to either Cinderella or Frozen. These themed hallways evoke classic Disney elegance. It’s like stepping into a royal palace wing where a glass slipper might be left behind at any moment.
The hallway carpets feature soft icy blue tones with delicate swirls hints of pumpkins and vines hidden in the designs, a nod to Cinderella’s magical transformation scene. Look closely and you might even see a snowflake in the carpet design. Artwork at the stairways and elevators showcase scenes from both Frozen and Cinderella.
Guests can find important ship communications on their stateroom sigil.
A Whimsical Carriage to Greet You
Instead of the usual fish or seahorse on other Disney ships, the staterooms on decks 2, 6, and 7 on the Disney Wish have pumpkin carriage-shaped hooks by the door. Fitting for a hallway that feels like a royal corridor, all your notes and special notices from Disney Cruise Line will be delivered by carriage.
Stars dance and shine across the ceiling through the cut-outs in this Cinderella light.
Cinderella Character Lighting
Throughout the hallways, look up to discover Cinderella-themed lights casting a magical glow across the ceiling. It’s a subtle but dreamy Cinderella reminder of transformation and timeless Disney magic.
An icy palace scene chills the Frozen-themed stateroom vibe.

The carpet here is vibrant and full of aquatic life, with swirls of seaweed greens, coral pinks, and bubbly blues that look like they were plucked right from King Triton’s underwater kingdom. Hidden in the design, you’ll spot shells, bubbles, and maybe even some of Moana’s wayfinding stars. Near the elevators, bright carpet designs bring the sea to life right here on the ship.
Shells mark each stateroom number amid aquatic decor.
A Sweet Shell Hook
The door hooks on decks 10 and 11 take the form of a stylized nautilus shell. Do you think it is similar to the shell in which Ursula trapped Ariel’s voice?
Can you spot Flounder in this school of fish?
