Star Wars: Starfighter director Shawn Levy has shown a photo of actor Ryan Gosling and Flynn Gray in the Mediterranean Sea, where they are filming. The context of this film isn’t known at this time. Levy posted the following caption with the photo on Instagram:

Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, Daniel Ings, and Amy Adams are also in the Lucasfilm movie. Its script was written by Jonathan Tropper. This film is a standalone movie and not a part of the Skywalker Saga. It is set to hit theaters on May 28, 2027. Levy is producing the movie with Lucasfilm boss Kathleen Kennedy. Gosling, Dan Levine, Mary McLaglen, and Josh McLaglen are executive producers as well.

The next Star Wars film that will be arriving in theaters is The Mandalorian & Grogu. It will arrive in theaters on May 22, 2026, for the Memorial Day weekend. The same weekend, an updated version of Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run will debut at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts.
