Cast for Disney Destiny’s Theatrical Offerings Arrive on the Ship in Germany

Another step toward the maiden voyage of the Disney Destiny has occurred. The cast for Disney Destiny’s Broadway-style shows that will be presented in the Walt Disney Theatre has arrived in Germany to prepare for the shows the ship will offer. The group arrived on the ship to see for the first time the venue where they will be working in the coming weeks to put the finishing touches on three of these Broadway-style stage shows. This includes the Disney Cruise Line fleet favorites Disney Seas the Adventure and Frozen, A Musical Spectacular. The third show will be the all-new Disney Hercules.

Disney Cruise Line shared an image from the arrival of the cast aboard the Disney Destiny:

The arrival in Germany comes after 11 weeks spent by the cast at Disney Cruise Line’s entertainment facility in Toronto, Canada. There, they learned dialogue, choreography, and other show material for Disney Hercules. This included learning high-energy numbers like Zero to Hero, using rehearsal puppets, sample costume pieces, and scenic elements that are similar to what will be seen on the Walt Disney Theatre stage.

The cast will be stepping into the spotlight at the Walt Disney Theatre and soon will be incorporating technical elements into their rehearsals. This will include costumes, sets, and state-of-the-art puppetry. This will bring this Walt Disney Animation Studios film to the stage like never before!

The Disney Destiny is scheduled to go on its maiden voyage on November 20 from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. When it does, it will be the Disney Cruise Line’s heroes and villains-themed ship. This will include entertainment that highlights the stories of a variety of heroes and villains.
