A new trailer has been released for Zootopia 2, showcasing rookie cops Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) on a new adventure. This takes place just weeks after the events of Zootopia. Hopps and Wilde are discovering that partnership isn’t quite what they thought it would be. Chief Bogo (voice of Idris Elba) sees it as well and orders the two to join the Partners in Crisis counseling program. They soon find their partnership being put to the ultimate test when they are put on the twisting trailer of a mystery tied to the arrival of a venomous snake in the animal metropolis. In Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Zootopia 2,” detectives Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) find themselves on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the mammal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before. Oscar® winner Jared Bush (co-director/co-writer “Zootopia,” director/co-writer “Encanto”) is directing and writing; Yvett Merino (Oscar-winning producer “Encanto”) produces. “Zootopia 2” hits theaters in November 2025.
The movie also introduces new characters and voices, including Gary De’Snake (voiced by Ke Huy Quan), Nibbles (voiced by Fortune Feimster), and quokka therapist Dr. Fuzzby (voiced by Quinta Brunson). They are joined by many returning characters as well.
“It’s been an absolute joy to reteam with so many actors who made the first film so special, and so exciting to expand the world with our phenomenal new cast members,” Jared Bush, the film’s writer and director, said (Bush is also the chief creative officer for Walt Disney Animation Studios). “I can’t wait for audiences to see what other surprises we have in store in this brand-new adventure.”
Zootopia 2 is Walt Disney Animation Studios’ 64th animated feature film. It comes from the Oscar-winning team of Jared Bush and Byron Howard (directors) and Yvette Merino (producer). It arrives in theaters on November 26, 2025.
