For the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, Daps Magic was invited to stay at the Disneyland Hotel for the media preview. The stay included two nights in a standard room that overlooked the pool. The room was #2240. This was found on the fourth floor of the Adventure Tower. The room was several rooms down from the elevator and fairly quiet. Below is a look at this room, followed by a brief review!
Disneyland Hotel Standard Room #2240 Tour

The room at the Disneyland Hotel was quite comfortable. It had a nice workspace with a desk that was good for putting the laptop on and working on stories. The beds were both quite comfortable and easy to sleep in. The couch and chair were also comfortable, but also nothing to geek out about. The view from the room was really pleasant both in the morning and in the evening, and added an extra dose of magic. The bathroom had two sinks and a water closet, which is always a nice thing. It also had a bathtub/shower. The only note here was that the water pressure was rather weak. However, this is good for the environment.
Throughout the room, there are some fun Disney details to be found that add to the magic. The best is the headboard above the beds comes to life at night with the power of a switch on the light on the nightstand. This can be seen here:
The food at Tangaroa Terrace downstairs was good, although a bit pricy. We enjoyed the chicken strips and to poke. Both were filling and tasted good. It is also nice being able to just walk to Goofy’s Kitchen in the morning or Trader Sam’s at the end of the night.
Overall, the Disneyland Hotel is a lovely place to stay when visiting the Disneyland Resort. It has a wonderfully classic Disney vibe. It is also REALLY nice being able to just walk to the hotel at night or to the parks in the morning without dealing with driving and parking. This is definitely worth doing, especially when utilizing a hotel deals that pop up frequently. It is also worth upgrading to concierge, if available.
