Fans who have been perusing the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World apps recently have noticed that there have been some updates for making dining reservations. The updates include a new calendar function to view reservations for a single location and the ability to view all reservations at all locations during a specific date range. Guests can also filter and sort dining availability based on specific preferences. Take a look below at the updates that have been added to the Disney apps.
For the Bucket-List Dining Spot
View all dates with available reservations any dining location
Improved labeling for Character Dining
So, you’ve got one specific dining location at the top of your family’s must-do list. Now, searching on the app makes it simple to see all dates with available reservation timeslots at any individual restaurant on a handy calendar. Select your dining location and party size to see an overview of which dates have reservations available, indicated with a green dot. Then, plan your vacation accordingly. This is a great feature for guests looking to dine at some of our most popular locations — even those hard-to-snag dining spots. Bucket list dining reservation: acquired!
For character dining experiences, look for the Mickey icon and a label on available reservation times.
For the Plan Every Detail in Advance Family
Search availability for ALL dining locations across a date range
Custom time slider to target exact dining times
You’re the one in the family who has an hour-by-hour spreadsheet in the works immediately after your trip is booked. Trip planning gurus, this update has your name all over it. The expanded search by date range allows you to view availability for ALL dining locations across multiple dates, rather than only one location across a date range. Use the tabs at the top to look at different dates within your search range.
We’ve also updated the time range search to find more specific times that fit with your plans. To customize the time, move the slider in your search to select your range down to the hour.
Remember: Disneyland Resort guests can start booking dining reservations up to 60 days in advance. If you’re staying with us at a Disney Resort hotel at Disney World, start booking 60 days in advance for your entire length of stay (up to a 10-night stay).
For the Go-With-The-Flow Group
Join a walk-up list or place a mobile order from select Disney World table service locations when searching for same-day dining reservations
Improved sorting and filtering for nearby locations
Your group lets pixie dust (and your stomachs) guide where you go next at the parks. Now when you search for same-day dining reservations, easily join a walk-up list or place a mobile order to-go at Disney World table service locations that offer it. Improved sorting and filtering means you can search by theme park and nearby resort areas to narrow down your options by location, or filter by Disney Springs at Disney World or Downtown Disney District at Disneyland. If you’re using a Disney Dining plan at Disney World, there’s a filter for you, too! Filter by which locations accept credits and how many you’ll need.
Cool new feature alert: Whether you need to see what your menu options look like or get a general overview of the vibes, check out the new media gallery to get a visual sneak peek. Look for the ring around a location’s thumbnail photo to open the gallery (Disney World only).
