May 16th is the start of Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration. This exciting day will have celebrations happening throughout the Disneyland Resort. Along with there being new entertainment, merchandise, food, and other experiences in the parks and Downtown Disney District, there will also be some exciting new culinary offerings at the Disneyland Hotels as well!
Along with new culinary offerings at the Disneyland Hotels, there will also be a new character buffet at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Donald’s Tales of Adventure Dinner Buffet will begin to be offered starting on May 16th. This is in addition to Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast in the morning. Below is a look at all of the exciting new offerings that will be available starting on May 16th at the Disneyland Hotels.

New Character Buffet at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
For those interested in a foodie adventure featuring Donald Duck himself, head over to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Here, you can experience Donald’s Tales of Adventure Dinner Buffet, a new campfire-style barbecue buffet featuring Donald, Daisy and some of their friends in their new explorer outfits beginning May 16, at Storytellers Cafe. It is the first time you will be able to enjoy characters during dinner time, too!
