World of Color Happiness! is one of many different entertainment offerings of different sizes that are a part of the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration. This exploration of “happy” is being presented nightly in Disney California Adventure’s Paradise Bay. Daps Magic was invited by the Disneyland Resort to see the world premiere of the seventh iteration of World of Color. There are a lot of fun details to be found during this show. - The excitement kicks off before the show begins, with a special pre-show moment with over a dozen of The Muppets. Through dazzling projections and lively fountains, Joe the Legal Weasel leads Kermit the Frog and the other Muppets in sharing important details with the audience in a clever and humorous way.
- The nighttime spectacular explores “happy” from start to finish, through a kaleidoscope of emotions. Guests discover that happiness is made up of many different, colorful feelings, and Disneyland Resort is the magical place where they all come together.
- Alongside classic Disney songs, a special rendition of “Rainbow Connection” sung by Boyz II Men will be heard during the show. FITZ – frontman and namesake of multi-platinum hitmakers Fitz and the Tantrums – also recorded a new original song titled “Makes Me Wanna Move.”
- Ahead of the first performance of the night, Disney California Adventure Park guests will have the opportunity to vote on which one of four Emotions from Pixar Animation Studios’ “Inside Out 2” will be featured in certain scenes throughout the nighttime spectacular. Voters can pick Sadness, Anger, Disgust or Envy on the Disneyland app.*
- Guests wearing MagicBand+ will notice its vibrations and glittering lights are synchronized with different points in the show, making the experience even more interactive. Those without a MagicBand+ may choose to purchase a special design created for the 70th celebration.
- Disney stories represented in the show include “The Little Mermaid,” “Turning Red,” “A Goofy Movie,” “Tangled,” “Encanto,” “Toy Story,” “Aladdin,” “Cinderella,” “Snow White,” “Lilo and Stitch” and many more.
- The upbeat soundtrack of “World of Color Happiness!” incorporates songs such as “Bundle of Joy,” “Nobody Like You,” “True to Your Heart,” “This Wish,” “I’ve Got a Dream,” “How Far I’ll Go,” “Surface Pressure” and more.
