The former home of Tortilla Jo’s in the Downtown Disney district is nearly demolished. Work continues to happen at a rapid pace as construction workers dismantle the building to make way for the new establishments on this lot at the Disneyland Resort. Once completely removed, the location will see the erection of Arthur & Sons Steak and Bourbon, along with Pearl’s Roadside BBQ. Both are from Michelin-starred Chef Joe Isidori. It is unknown when exactly these restaurants will open.
Daps Magic team member Steven stopped by the Downtown Disney District on Monday, May 19, 2025, to check out the progress that is being made on the demolition. Here is what he saw:
Arthur & Sons Steak and Bourbon
When it opens, Arthur & Sons Steak and Bourbon will be a classic steakhouse. There will be a lively center bar, and prime cuts of beef will be offered along with fresh seafood, sandwiches, and salads. There will also be an impressive selection of bourbon and inventive cocktails.
Pearl’s Roadside BBQ
Pearl’s Roadside BBQ will be a quick-service restaurant next door. It will offer flavorful dishes that include pulled pork, beef brisket, and smoked heritage turkey with house-made sauces. There will also be craft beers and moonshine cocktails offered at this location.
The arrival of these two new restaurants is just a couple of the many changes and updates during the transformation of the Downtown Disney District. This has led to updates for some businesses in the area, along with the arrival of new shops, restaurants, and even a new entertainment space!
