This year, Hong Kong Disneyland is celebrating its 20th anniversary. As part of its celebration, Hong Kong Disneyland is launching the Gift of Happiness: Hong Kong Disneyland 20th Anniversary Magical Ticket Donation campaign. The resort will be donating 200,000 park admission tickets to local nonprofits and inviting them to join in The Most Magical Party of All!

Every year, Hong Kong Disneyland donates approximately 100,000 tickets to local non-profit organizations. This is significantly more. Below is a look at the specifics for this gift of tickets and other exciting things happening in 2025 at Hong Kong Disneyland!

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort Donates 200,000 Park Tickets to Local Community in Celebration of 20th Anniversary

HONG KONG, April 1, 2025 – Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (“HKDL”) is launching the “Gift of Happiness: Hong Kong Disneyland 20th Anniversary Magical Ticket Donation” in celebration of its 20th anniversary. As part of its unwavering commitment to create magic and happiness for those in need, the resort is donating 200,000 park admission tickets to local community nonprofits and inviting them to join “The Most Magical Party of All,” a year-long celebration only at HKDL.

Registered NGOs or charitable organizations exempt from tax under Section 88 of the IRO are invited to submit their application on HKDL’s official page (https://hkcorporate.hongkongdisneyland.com/community/charitable-giving.html) with the required information and documents starting from today until April 30, 2025.

On average, HKDL provides more than 100,000 complimentary theme park tickets to those in need every year, and this number will be doubled in celebration of the resort’s 20th anniversary this year.

Additional magical experiences continue in celebration of the 20th anniversary

On April 17, the resort is hosting a pre-party event for the 20th anniversary celebration, with over 550 event guests attending, including Disney fans, media and content creators from key markets like mainland China and Taiwan, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, and more. Mickey and his friends are ready to shine in their brand-new party looks in a bedazzling runway reveal.

The resort is also launching a series of worldwide and regional publicity and promotions in the coming months. Everyone is invited to come to Hong Kong and take part in this mega celebration only at HKDL, which promises to showcase Hong Kong’s reputation as a premier tourism destination.

Kicking off this June, the highly anticipated 20th anniversary celebration will feature a brand-new castle stage show, the resort’s largest ever parade, “Friendtastic!”, and a special edition of the “Momentous” nighttime spectacular.

To express gratitude for Hong Kong’s continuous support, Hong Kong residents will be among the first to join the HKDL 20th anniversary celebration, together with more limited-time festivities including Duffy and Friends and Marvel-themed events. From now until July 31, 2025, guests can purchase the “Double the Fun” Special Offer at HK$859.

The impact of 20 years of HKDL magic

Over the past 19 years, HKDL’s Disney VoluntEARS have contributed almost 123,000 hours toward supporting the local community, including child patients and children with disabilities, with the launch of “PlayWell with Disney” at the Hong Kong Children’s Hospital and a real-life social adaptation training program for children with special educational needs. The resort

helps today’s youth dream about their future, build their talents and skills, and become who they imagine they can be.

Meanwhile, the resort is incredibly proud of the impact it has made on Hong Kong’s economy In FY24, HKDL brought about HK$12.4 billion of added value to Hong Kong – equivalent to around 0.42% of the city’s GDP – and created approximately 22,000 jobs (in terms of man-years), contributing toward Hong Kong’s overall growth.
