On this day in 2010, the “My Friend Duffy” stage show debuted at Tokyo DisneySea. The Cape Cod Cook-Off restaurant theater on the American Waterfront hosted the new show that explained Duffy’s origins as a teddy bear Minnie Mouse made to keep Mickey company on his travels. His name came from the duffel bag Mickey carried him in. Duffy first appeared in the Tokyo Disney Parks in late 2004 and has been popular with guests there ever since. [15 years ago in 2025]
