Knott’s Boysenberry Festival is just a week and a half away! When it starts on March 28th, guests at Knott’s Berry Farm will get the opportunity to try so many amazing foods and beverages with Boysenberry included in the recipes. Stay tuned in the coming days for a list of the Daps Magic team’s favorites from a preview. There will also be plenty of merchandise. One of the favorite offerings for the Daps Magic team, however, is the entertainment!
The entertainment is always top-notch and has a feel that really only Knott’s Berry Farm offers in this day and age. With this being the 10th anniversary of the Boysenberry Festival, this year will be a whole lot of fun! Take a look below at the entertainment offerings that will be available during the festival!
Knott’s Preserved: A Musical Celebration
This is presented on the Calico Mine Stage. It is a musical presentation of the idealized history of Knott’s Berry Farm. It includes song, dance, and storytelling to share the heritage of this berry farm-turned theme park. Knott’s Berry Farm may be over 100 years old but it still is very connected to its origins and legacy. Definitely catch Knott’s Preserved: A Musical Celebration if you have the opportunity!
The Great Bank Robbery
Presented in the Bird Cage Theatre, The Great Bank Robbery is a melodrama that pays tribute to Knott’s past. In this melodrama, Calico Bank Manger Ernie Evertrue finds himself tested when notorious bank robber Bells Colton decides to rob the bank! This is an all-new show that encourages audience participation with lots of cheers, sighs, and boos throughout the show. If you’ve ever seen a show in the Bird Cage Theatre, you know this is one you won’t want to miss!
Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies
Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies bring the Wagon Camp to life on the evenings when they perform. They blend fantastic country music with other genres, accompanied by their comedic personality. This band is legendary and should not be missed!
Bluegrass Duo
The Bluegrass Duos can be found on the stage at the Fireman’s BBQ. Different duos perform on different days. They all play bluegrass and country tunes. This is a great spot for a delicious BBQ and an enjoyable musical performance. This makes for a wonderfully relaxing dining experience.
Other Entertaining Things of Note
On top of the classic entertainment found during Knott’s Boysenberry Festival. There are also some offerings that are more interactive! A favorite of the Daps Magic team is the pie-eating contest. This year, this is the culmination of a day of games! These happen at Calico Park and are called Boysen Bear’s Pie Kitchen Games. After these games, the Boysen Bear’s Pie Eating Contest will take place on the Calico Mine Stage. It is hilariously messy and something not to miss!
Guests can also stop by Old MacDonald’s Barn to see up close some classic barnyard animals including horses, goats, and other furry friends. Over at Town Hall, guests can also check out the History of the Boysenberry Museum.
