On this day in 1975, an updated version of ‘America the Beautiful’ opened at the Circle-Vision 360° Theater in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. The first version of ‘America the Beautiful’ was shot for the 1958 World’s Fair held in Brussels and was shown at Disneyland. A second version debuted at the Magic Kingdom in 1971 and ran until 1974. This new third version featured scenes from Philadelphia in celebration of the U.S. Bicentennial in 1976. [50 years ago in 2025]
