On this day in 2000, ‘The Tigger Movie’ was released. Hoping to find his family, Tigger searches through the Hundred Acre Wood. ‘The Tigger Movie’ was the first feature-length ‘Winnie the Pooh’ film to feature one storyline instead of a collection of shorter tales. It included five new songs by the Sherman Brothers, their first new titles in 28 years. The music alone convinced Michael Eisner to give the film a theatrical release instead of direct to video or TV. [25 years ago in 2025]
