Captain Jack Sparrow’s next outing won’t be in the theaters. Instead, he will be found aboard the Disney Adventure when it sets sail in December. The Disney Cruise Line announced today that Jack Sparrow, err Captain Jack Sparrow, will be headlining a new show that will be found on the Disney Imagination Garden stage.
This new show will be called Captain Jack Sparrow & The Siren Queen. In it, Captain Jack Sparrow and his band of pirates will battle with an ink-squirting giant squid and hunt for a rare, dazzling treasure. It promises to get swashbucklers of all ages singing a hearty “Yo Ho!” when they are recruited for this thrilling journey with the “sea’s most charming, yet roguish, captain and his pirate crew.”
The arrival of Captain Jack Sparrow is the only known new appearance for the character at this time. There have been rumors about Sparrow returning in a future movie in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise but none of these have been confirmed. Captain Jack Sparrow first appeared in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl in 2003. The character was brought to life by Johnny Depp. It kicked off a franchise that included 5 films. Disney has been looking to reboot the franchise but at this point, there have been no details released about how or when this will happen. There also have been no updates about who will be starring in the next Pirates of the Caribbean film.
The Disney Cruise Line also announced a new show featuring Duffy and Friends today. This will be the first time that Duffy will be appearing in his own show aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship. There will also be a shop aboard the Disney Adventure which will be dedicated to Duffy and Friends.
The Disney Adventure will take guests on its 3-night Maiden Voyage from Singapore on December 15, 2025. This will kick off the ship’s inaugural season which will include 3-night, 4-night, and a very limited number of 5-night cruises at sea. Bookings for the Disney Adventure are now available through the Disney Cruise Line website or a travel agent (like Mouseways Travel, the official travel partner of Daps magic).
