On this day in 2007, The Seas with Nemo and Friends Pavilion was dedicated at EPCOT, replacing The Living Seas. The pavilion first opened in 1986 and contains the second-largest aquarium in the United States with 5.7 million gallons of water. The transition from The Living Seas to ‘Finding Nemo’ was the first time an animated film inspired an EPCOT pavilion. At reopening, the area offered a ‘Nemo’ dark ride, Turtle Talk with Crush, and the Coral Reef Restaurant.
