On this day in 2005, Disney’s largest theme park ticket giveaway to date took place at the FedEx Orange Bowl National Championship game in Miami, Florida. Just like in Disney’s popular “What’s Next?” commercials, the crowd of 72,000 shouted “I’m going to Disneyland!” The promotion was in honor of Disneyland’s 50th anniversary. The single day one-park tickets were valid between May 5, 2005 and September 30, 2006 at any of the 11 Disney Parks worldwide. [20 years ago in 2025]
