Star Wars: Ahsoka

‘Ahsoka’ Has Found A New Baylan Skoll

In season one of Ahsoka, the late Ray Stevenson made an impressive appearance as the former Jedi named Baylon Skoll. Throughout the season, Skoll had his own agenda. By the end of the season, this quest had not been completed. In fact, just the first part had been achieved it seemed. With the death of Stevenson, many wondered what would happen to the character after the first season. The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Game of Thrones actor Rory McCann will be taking over the role.

McCann is known for playing The Brute on HBO’s Game of Thrones. He also recently appeared in Gladiator II. His other credits include Edgar Wright’s Hot FuzzxXx: Return of Xander CageJumanji: The Next Level;  Knuckles on Paramount+; and the animated series Transformers: EarthSpark.

Star Wars: Ahsoka stars Rosario Dawson in the title role. The first season had Ahsoka being joined by her former Padawan as they attempted to keep Grand Admiral Thrawn from returning and reuniting the fragmented remains of the Empire. The end of the first season does have Thrawn return and Ahsoka stranded with her apprentice in another galaxy. Baylan Skoll also happens to be stranded in this other galaxy, as is his apprentice.

At this point, a timeline for the arrival of the second season of Ahsoka isn’t known. It is known that Dave Filoni has been working on the script. He will be the showrunner for the second season, whenever it does begin filming. This is a role he had for the first season. A shooting timeline and who will be directing when shooting begins is unknown.
