On this day in 2012, the first ever Limited Time Magic event began at Walt Disney World with a week of New Year’s Eve bashes. The “Bling in the New Year” dance parties took place in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom and featured countdowns every hour until midnight. Limited Time Magic was a 52-week celebration that ran throughout 2013. Unexpected experiences popped up throughout the year, usually lasting just a day, a week, or a month.
