On this day in 1994, The Timekeeper attraction opened at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. The Circle-Vision 360-degree film starred Robin Williams, Rhea Pearlman, and Jeremy Irons. Imagineers put these acting talents to good use, making The Timekeeper the first Circle-Vision film with an immersive plot and the first to use Audio-Animatronics. Similar attractions opened at Disneyland Paris in 1992 and at Tokyo Disneyland in 1993. [30 years ago in 2024]
