One of the most iconic parts of a voyage aboard one of the Disney Cruise Line’s ships is the horn. Traditionally, the ships in the fleet of the Disney Cruise Line play the main part of When You Wish Upon a Star. This continues a maritime tradition of ships playing their horn as they disembark. When guests cruise aboard the Disney Treasure, there will be some added tunes played by the powerful horn.
Recently, the Disney Treasure began its voyage across the Atlantic Ocean as it makes its way to its future home port in Port Canaveral. Along the way, a team aboard the Disney Treasure tested out 7 new arrangements for its horn. Some of the arrangements complement different features and stories that are found aboard the Disney Treasure. Others add to the story of adventure that the ship offers. Some of the horn sounds that voyagers will hear include Grim Grinning Shots, which is a nod to the Haunted Mansion Parlor, Remember Me from the Pixar Animation Studios’ film Coco and honoring the theatrical dining restaurant Plaza de Coco, and A Whole New World from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film Aladdin is a tie into the ship’s Grand Hall. There is also a holiday tune that was created for the holiday season this year that hasn’t been revealed yet. There are three other tunes that haven’t been revealed at this time either. Any guesses on what they will be?

This first cruise for the Disney Treasure will be a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise when it departs on December 21st. This will be followed by the inaugural season of seven-night itineraries to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Port Canaveral. Cruises aboard the Disney Treasure can be booked through Mouseways Travel, the official travel partner of Daps Magic.
Throughout the ship, there will be themed experiences of all kinds to enjoy. This includes of course the opportunity to meet Disney characters and princesses. There are also some incredible dining options that include a Haunted Mansion-themed lounge and a jazz lounge themed to The Aristocats. Along with some other incredible dining experiences, there will also be some incredible entertainment offerings as well. This includes a new Moana stage show.
