On this day in 2019, ‘Coco’ was brought to the stage for the first time ever at the Hollywood Bowl. ‘Disney Pixar Coco – A Live-to-Film Concert Experience’ took place over two nights. Many of the original actors returned to voice their roles along with a live orchestra, The Mariachi Divas, dancers, and elaborate digital projections. As the film played behind them, the troupe played and sang along. A recording of the show was released to Disney+ in 2020. [5 years ago in 2024]
