On this day in 2007, the streaming service Hulu was founded. The service began with recent episodes and full seasons of TV programs. Hulu was started by News Corporation and NBC Universal, later known as 21st Century Fox and Comcast, and Disney. Disney acquired Fox’s stake in Hulu in 2019 and then Comcast’s portion in 2023, making Disney the sole owner. Currently, subscribers to both Hulu and Disney+ can access combined content from a central hub.
