Cotino – A Storyliving by Disney Community continues to get closer to welcoming residents to this new community in Rancho Mirage. Recently, the community revealed that model homes are now available for future residents to check out. Today, it was revealed that the entrance sign for the community has been installed.
The new sign welcomes guests as they arrive at Contino. It leads both residents and guests up to the new midcentury-style gatehouse. The sign itself compliments the desert that the community is found in. This is enhanced by the Mexican fence post cacti that rise out of the desert floor. The story behind Cotino – A Storyliving by Disney Community has deep roots in The Walt Disney Company. Walt Disney himself used to visit the area and even purchased land for a home at Smoke Tree Ranch. This area was an inspiration for Walt and was even part of his inspiration for Disneyland.
This new type of community was first announced by Disney in February 2022. Storyliving by Disney has distinctively designed spaces, unique amenities, and world-renowned service. According to a release from Disney at the time, the “master-planned communities are intended to inspire residents to foster new friendships, pursue their interests and write the next exciting chapter in their lives—all while enjoying the attention to detail, unique amenities and special touches that are Disney hallmarks.”
