Agatha All Along continues to make its way “down, down, down the road, down the winding road” each week on Disney+. Now, the first half of its soundtrack has arrived on music streaming services. Agatha All Along: Vol. 1 (Episodes 1-5) Original Soundtrack was released last week and has quite the collection of music from the series. This includes The Ballad of the Witches’ Road written by Oscar-winning songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. It also has the score by Christophe Beck and Michael Paraskevas.
Composers Christophe Beck and Michael Paraskevas commented, “We loved diving back into the witchy world of Westview to further explore Agatha’s journey. Faced with the challenge of expressing empathy for a dark antihero, we subverted the conventional superhero sound and crafted an eclectic palette that leans into the strange and twisted. Additionally, we weave Bobby and Kristen’s catchy tunes throughout the show to create a seamless, musical undercurrent between song and score. As Agatha’s coven encounters trial after trial, the score creeps across an array of musical genres, all connected with prominent themes and magical leitmotifs that accompany audiences down the Witches’ Road.” The duo also worked on WandaVision.
The vinyl album for Agatha All Along is set to be released on November 1, 2024. It currently is available for pre-order at Disney Music Emporium. Below is the full digital album that was released on music streaming services.
