On this day in 1989, ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ was placed on the Library of Congress’ National Film Registry. Each year, 25 films are chosen to represent the scope of American film heritage. To qualify, a film must be “culturally, historically, or esthetically significant.” ‘Snow White’ meets all three criteria.
